I just don't get it.

Emma

Re: The Delicate Balancing Act

We can look forward to government control and management like that of Feddie Mac and Fannie Mae. We all can now stop working and draw unemployment and welfare and get a mortgage free home.......welcome to Obama land.

Re: The Delicate Balancing Act

Always amazing how two boomers can see things so differently. I see Obama wrongfully asking us as Boomers to once again sacrifice for the good of everyone else...something we have had to do often in our time here on earth. How many white blue collar Americans new to the job market did not get jobs in the name of Affirmative Action? How many of us were bumped from colleges to make room for a lesser qualified minority applicant in the name of Affirmative Action? Were we not asked to buck up and bail out Social Security so it would be there for us when we retired? Did not we have to buck it up when Reagan granted his BIG AMNESTY back in 1986?

No doubt we are in for some rough times, but why not approach those rough times with and Americans on Main Street mentality. Fact is, half of those so called non insured that Obama wants to give Health Insurance to are Illegal Aliens. We have 800,000 Americans who have lost their jobs, many of them BOOMERS, but Obama wants to grant illegal aliens who have depressed our wages Amnesty (pathway to citizenship)...how about instead we deport those here illegally, imprison those who break our laws by hiring them, and put a freeze on all Immigration for five years while we absorb those here already, while putting Americans back to work.

Face it, seeing Obama's TRANSITION TEAM selections, the number of millionairs involved, seeing many of the same overlords from previous administrations and Senators, it smells a whole lot like more of the same instead of change.

Re: The Delicate Balancing Act

I am so excited that Obama won.
