She was on that ticket for one reason only: to fire up the apathetic base. How to do that? Rile up their basest instincts with inflammatory accusations. She did that and she did it well. By having these accusations come from her, McCain and his top aides could claim their hands were clean and she did it on her own. She was used but I don't feel sorry for her. She brought it on herself by running for an office that she knows she is not qualified for.
