    I don't get it ... the secret service protects all presidential and vice presidential candidates. Why didn't they bitch slap Palin for spiking threats against Obama?

    claiming that Ayers and Obama had a relationship of any kind does not support the claim of death threats against Obama....as 4 people were arrested the week of the DNC....with loaded weapons to kill Obama....well before Palin came into the picture....so for all of you who think that Palin was the first bring the issue up I would suggest that you aren't listening.......

    Yes, Palin is a rogue diva but she didn't go on the Ayers attack without the consent and encouragement of the McCain camp. She was on that ticket for one reason only: to fire up the apathetic base. How to do that? Rile up their basest instincts with inflammatory accusations. She did that and she did it well. By having these accusations come from her, McCain and his top aides could claim their hands were clean and she did it on her own. She was used but I don't feel sorry for her. She brought it on herself by running for an office that she knows she is not qualified for. It was her ego she was putting first, not the country.
