Marc Ambinder reports that — Surprise! — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is not going to be doing any media interviews in the near future:
A senior McCain campaign official advises that, despite the gaggle of requests and pressure from the media, Gov. Sarah Palin won ... Continue reading »

  • All the other were forced to met the media, can she, should she? You damn bet she should, lets find out about her.
  • She wants to be treated the same, but yet....she simply can not take questions from the press. Absurd!
  • The meeting with the press is going to be the down fall for her.

McCain is already mad at the press for they press for tough answers and he don't like to give them.

Palin will be the same way.

Like Obama had said, he's been under fire for 19 months now, and she has only a few days and not a person has questioned her.

Remember the $400 hair cut for John Edwards, How about the $300,000 dress Mrs McCain had on Monday night. Nothing came out on that.

Headlines in todays paper, McCain said big change coming to Washington D. C. He is rigth it will be Obama/Biden.
  • If Obama or biden had said this they woud be crucified! So The woman don't have to be vetted and the man does in this election? The woman gets special previledge because she's a women and is unable to stand up to the same scrutiny as the man? Explains why Mccain doesn't for for equal pay for women, he don't think we are equal to men!
  • I can't believe this. It just like "My Fair Lady" or "Pretty Woman". They're hiding her from public view while they train her like they did with Eliza Dolittle. I can just see Joe Libermann teaching her all about foreign policy. Teaching her how to respond to questions about Iraq, Iran, Russia... "The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain." Carl Rove teaching her what to wear, how to do her hair, how to wrinkle her nose., etc. Then they'll roll her out on the debate night for all the world to see - their bride of Frankenstein. American women just love a Pygmalion story line, and what man can say no to a pretty face. Typical stupid Americans - Wake up! They've got you pegged.
  • come on now... this isn't a surprise. she has no experience with politics on this level. the former bush aides need to train her on what to say and how to say it. they need to tell her how to respond to the world politics, the war, etc.

i simply hope that when she DOES go on, people see this. she is sold as a maverick, but they need to shape her into the proper candidate. i hope that they see this for what it is, a blatant political move, pandering to the uber conservatives and the female vote. i hope that they don't tear HER a new one, but they rip into MCCAIN for picking her. shows his level of judgment, his commitment to politics as usual, and his complete lack of respect for the intelligence of the American people
  • I don't blame Gov. Palin from wanting to distance herself from members of the media as their attitude towards her is like Matthew Delong's in the previous message. She will reach those who want to hear what she has to say and what she wants to do for the nation and Alaska.
