The Washington Independent: Palin’s Inner Thoughts, On the Back of a Budget

Sailors have an allegiance to their ship much like students have an allegiance to their universities. We who served on the USS Forrestal have a love that is passionate. Unfortunately, we need CLOSURE. From all accounts, the worst fire in US Naval history was started by a polite who had already crashed four planes—John McCain. But he did not stop there: John McCain “jumped ship,” he left 134 sailors to die is that one hell of a fire. I was in charge of flight deck photographic and motion picture operations just shortly before that event. We need John McCain to apologize to the families of my dead shipmates.

What year was that? Why isn't that published? Can I find it in fact check? Did you mean PILOT instead of " polite"? Sorry. Spelling is the least of our worries here, I know. It seems to me that the Reagan, Bush , Bush Jr era has seen a lot of Captains jump ship with million dollar parachutes watching as employees, and taxpayers burn or drown treading water and fighting for their life's work. Look at the Airlines... I'm so sick of the party bickering I want a change in policy and McCain is NOT a change. The world has enough Mavericks like him already, and his pretty ditto head, Palin. Let's not only find an alternative to FOREIGN OIL ; let's find an alternative to oil! How about water, trash, used cooking oil, electric trains, sun, wind, urine... COME ON ! NO more time to waste! What else can these so called smart finance brains do besides make up funny money insurance claims on someone else's debt? I want real choices of smart green transportation!

Don't know about JBob's inference that McCain started the fire (actually McCain had crashed only 2 planes by that time) but, according to this article, once he got out of his plane virtually unscathed, McCain made a bee-line to the pilots' ready room where he stayed throughout the conflagration and WATCHED it on the Forrestall's close-circuit TV. Meanwhile other pilots on deck who also escaped the fire actually joined in and lead fire suppression efforts.

Where and how did you(who?) get this doodle? Many, many different individuals doodle notes to themselves never expecting them to be published. Can you publish her cheat sheet notes for the VP debate? Did anyone count how many times she said "MAVERICK"?
