  • Just north of Orlando, I-4 runs north/south through Sanford, Fl, my town of 45,000, low/middle income folks. Lots of activity here. The positive scramble includes Republicans for Obama.

    People are quiet about their choice for either Obama or McCain. McCain is viewed too close to Bush for even diehards to advertise with bumper stickers.

    The irony for whites: it's the Obama window decal that gets your car keyed. Thus, people are quietly thrilled to be turning this state BLUE.
  • One factor that may e driving support for Obama in the I-4 corridor is a radio DJ by the name of "Bubba the Love Sponge". His program - heard locally on free radio and nationally on Sirius has been unabashadly pro-Obama and his listening audience tends to follow his lead.
