The Washington Independent: NY-23: 95 Percent of Hoffman Cash From Out of District

  • sallymesh · 1 month ago
Better let Hoffman win or he'll contest and we'll have another stalled winner like they did holding up Al Franken!!! God Bless NY and GL!

Why don't you check how much money Nancy Pelosi has filtered to the Northern California Assembly District Races to win races with outside money. Right now John Garamendi does not live in the district he is trying to win in place of Ellen Tauscher. The article should be balanced.

How is that relevant to this election?
  • Russell Stevenson · 1 month ago
There is a great article on Hoffman's chances posted here: http://yesbuthowever.com/how-owens-can-win-hoff...

This normally republican district just might go the other way.

A lot of attention has been paid to the ideology of Hoffman and what his candidacy represents in terms of the internal purging going on with the GOP, but little has been said about how completely dumb and inarticulate this guy is. Describing Hoffman as having a "weak grasp of district issues" is a major understatement; he makes Sarah Palin look good by comparison.

So the GOP is filling its halls with uninformed bigots who espouse economic and social Darwinism. And what is new?
  • brendanm · 1 month ago
That's not new, but usually they get someone a little slicker to sell their shitty product. Bob McDonnell, for example, seems to have done a good job at hiding his extremist, hateful views.

Actually, it would be interesting to make an attempt at journalism, which is evidently forbidden at this fishwrap for leftist boondoggles, and find out how much from Owens' [who is incidentally a Plattsburgh lawyer who is also a "carpetbagger" in the terms employed by the fishwrappers here] contributors comes from out of district, or even out of state.

When Dear Leader sends his resident court jester up to Watertown, you know that it's tight-sphincter time in the Oval Office and Environs. How much cred will happy Joe have if Hoffmann wins after he can't fill a school hall and CNN calls him "Former Vice President Biden?"

You use a lot of words incorrectly. You are clearly very unintelligent. Please be less stupid in future posts.

Voting for a representatiave that doen's live in your district, such a touch of genius. There is no bettere way to be representesd than by an outsider with no bias as to your real needs. Way to go folks, your ultra conservative willingness to sink your own ship is amazing.

I heard Hoffman speak yesterday on Utube. My Gosh the man is a empty vessel with fewer idea's an talking points than Palin herself. Palin attemps to cover her inadequate ability to speak in sentence's of the english language. This man simply fails at the English language all together. He strings stuff together, like a child takeing his first lesson in speaking properly. It's a sad day for NY when they elect some one who fails to understand their problems, can't combine his thinking process into verbal sense, and will be controled by the teabaggers an the likes of of the extremist in this country. Yes, I see why they choose him to back now!

Your post would have been a lot more meaningful had you crunched the numbers for Owens, too. Without that, there's no context for understanding Hoffman's 95 percent figure. Too bad, because it'd be really interesting to know how the two opponents stack up on that topic.

Most of it came from NAMBLA and its members; this guy will be arrested soon!

Hoffman’s been criticized for the fund raise for the election is coming from out of district which is not good sign.
