NEWSWIRE--As Congress considers bailout legislation, there is uncertainty whether it will provide homeowners with mortgage assistance.
Halloween's still weeks away,
But tricks of finance start today:

Others, pennies (mere civilians).

Light verse, ripped from the headlines
The Paulson bill that attempts to extort $700,000,000,000 from the American treasury, that it doesn't have, because the people that have the money don't trust each other is fool's errand. The bill should be trashed. It won't help the homeowner. There is nothing punitive that will stick or even be worth the effort.
There is no amendment or proposal that could make this bill worth keeping.
Congress should throw it in the trash and go home.
There is plenty of money in Wall Street. They made the bad decisions This is a free enterprise system. Let them man up and figure out how to minimize loss and get on with their recovery.
Paulson, Bernanke and Cox should be fired by the government. Everybody else should be fired by their boards and stockholders
