Many are hesitant to question McCain's motives for anything he does or doesn't do. He seems to be such a nice guy, doesn't he? I urge only that voters remember an ancient admonition that things (and people) are seldom &amp;quot;what they seem to be.&amp;quot;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;That may very well include the &amp;quot;nice old guy with integrity&amp;quot; image that McCain has carefully cultured and grown over the past years.  I've not done it myself, but I suspect that a really good dig into his entire record in the legislature might show a lot more than the &amp;quot;image&amp;quot; he's built for himself as &amp;quot;the maverick&amp;quot; to the extreme right wing of the Republican Party.
