What race does "birther" refer to anyway? It doesn't. While we are on race, "American" is NOT a race.

And lots of people from Harvard and Columbia have talked about him. Columbia certainly isn't denying he went there, isn't that odd? Actually, they are rather proud, as any university would be, to have had an American President attend their school.

The thing is, I don't think you yourself have been anywhere near a university, except maybe to root for a football team(at a school you didn't attend).

Kids do NOT get on their mother's passport. There are no documents indicating anything you said, because that is not how things work. Children get their own passports. A quick search on how to obtain passports on the State Dept. website will clear that up for you. You have no proof whatsoever to believe he had an Indonesian passport. He was an American, like his mother, living in Indonesia. He flew there with an American passport. How do you think he got back into the country?? There was no travel ban ever in Pakistan during that time, so you can toss that idea out.

Apparently you served so you could use that service to toss out during an argument. I don't think that is honorable at all. You served, you are no better than any other American. And the fact that you served doesn't mean you aren't totally wrong about everything you vomited out of your mouth in your post.

How do you imagine he has a passport? You are aware that to obtain a passport you have to provide a certified copy of your birth record. He received his first passport at age 5 or so. That is how he returned to Hawaii to resume school there after his mother split with his step-father, buying showing his US Passport. Where do you get this John Doe stuff? I gave the State Dept. a copy of my birth record, one that had the same info as President Obama's and that got me a passport. It had NO doctor signiture. They didn't send me a letter saying, "well Mr. John Doe, who are you really?" But then again, I was subject to bigotry because of my name or family history.

1) Hawaii does NOT release original long form birth certificates. They are archived. Any given birther is not allowed to handle an original birth certificate.. any more then they're allowed to go hold the original Declaration of Independence. If Hawaii opened up viewing of the original archival document.. how many birthers would have to hold it kill the conspiracy theories? 1, 10, 100,000? It doesn't matter because the more you disprove a conspiracy, the more the paranoid believe it's an even greater conspiracy (which begs the question, why do I bother?)

2) The Hawaiian Governor (republican) and the various state officials with access have certified the original is on hand and authentic.

3) The birth cert that was released is a 100% legally valid birth certificate. High rez images with raised seal are available at factcheck.org. You can go look at the birth certificate that was valid when Obama got his social security number, and his license, and his passport. It was also good enough for the Secret Service when they vetted him. The only people who this is not good enough for are those that hate him, and are looking for any excuse to believe he's illegitimate.

4) What are you talking about with Mccain's parents releasing his birth certificate. John Mccain Jr. (his father) died in 1981. I'm not sure if his mother is alive or when she may have died. When, exactly, do you believe that his "parents" produced his birth certificate?

5) I can find no evidence the Obama ever took the name Soetoro other than specious claims at right-wing web sites an in proven-false chain mails.
The theory seems to stem from two fallacious claims.
a) That Obama must have been a Naturalized Indonesian citizen (taking his step-father's name) because the US had a travel ban on Afganistan when he visited the country in 1981 with school friends.
This false because there was no travel ban to Afganistan in 1981.
b) That Obama registered at Occidental college on a Fullbright scholarship as a forigner (thus he must have used Soetoro's name.. Kenya's constitution explicitly bars dual citizenship so that delusion doesn't work here).
This is provably false because he didn't not have a Fullbright scholarship at Occidental and because Occidental provided examples of Obama using the name Obama on campus.
