Why I Don’t Write About Sarah Palin’s Facebook Posts
Its sad to see the counter-Jihad/Islamist activists doing this to each other. Alas Charles has no experience with the situation on the ground in Europe and still views these things from an idealistic purist view of how the scourge has to be fought.
The spat be damned I will continue to read all the sites listed above.
I note that the user who uploaded the video - someone who claims to be a conservative Christian but who had several dozen vulgar favorites, none of which a real conservative Christian would favorite - has since cleaned up after herself; as a comment posted at her channel confirms, they were interesting:
youtube.com/user/cookiecache
Seriously, anyone with half a brain and two seconds should have immediately seen that the "burn" part was fake after looking at her profile.
That being said, I still support Gates of Vienna, Robert Spencer, and Pamela Geller. They are doing invaluable work for the counterjihad movement.
Actually the driver was well aware of her position, she didn't fall until he struck her, & they were illegally demolishing Palestinian homes.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rachel_Corrie
Still wearing her fluorescent jacket, she knelt down at least 15 meters in front of the bulldozer, and began waving her arms and shouting, just as activists had successfully done dozens of times that day... When it got so close that it was moving the earth beneath her, she climbed onto the pile of rubble being pushed by the bulldozer... Her head and upper torso were above the bulldozer’s blade, and the bulldozer driver and co-operator could clearly see her. Despite this, the driver continued forward, which caused her to fall back, out of view of the diver.[sic] He continued forward, and she tried to scoot back, but was quickly pulled underneath the bulldozer. We ran towards him, and waved our arms and shouted; one activist with the megaphone. But the bulldozer driver continued forward, until Rachel was all the way underneath the central section of the bulldozer.[18]
Articles about people who write articles about not much... yawn
Apparently Mr. pencer has never heard of these guys:
DOMINIONISM
(A.K.A. CHRISTIAN RECONSTRUCTIONISM,
DOMINION THEOLOGY, AND THEONOMY)
Sponsored link.
History:
Dominionism, Dominion Theology, Christian Reconstructionism, Theocratic Dominionism, and Theonomy are not denominations or faith groups. Rather, they are interrelated beliefs which are followed by members of a wide range of Christian denominations. They have no connection at all to Reconstructionist Judaism, which is a liberal group within Judaism.
Generally speaking:
Dominionism & Dominion Theology are derived from Genesis 1:26 of the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament):
"Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, in our likeness and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'" (NIV)
Most Christians interpret this verse as meaning that God gave mankind dominion over the animal kingdom. Dominion theologians believe that that this verse commands Christians to bring all societies, around the world, under the rule of the Word of God.
Theonomy (Greek for "God's Law") includes the concept that "God’s revealed standing laws are a reflection of His immutable moral character and, as such, are absolute in the sense of being nonarbitrary, objective, universal, and established in advance of particular circumstances (thus applicable to general types of moral situations)." 6,7 Thus, each of the 613 laws given to Moses and recorded in the Pentateuch (the first 5 books of the Hebrew Scriptures) are binding on people of all nations, cultures, and religions forever, except for those laws which have been specifically rescinded or modified by further revelation.
Christian Reconstructionism arose out of conservative Presbyterianism in the early 1970's. Followers believe "that every area dominated by sin must be 'reconstructed' in terms of the Bible." 1
The term Reconstructionism has been used to refer to various combinations of the preceding three terms. This type of confusion is common in the field of religion. Many theological terms such as Christian, Fundamentalist, Occult, New Age, Reconstructionism, Unitarian etc. have been assigned so many different interpretations by different groups in different eras that they are almost meaningless.
Its most common form, Dominionism, represents one of the most extreme forms of Fundamentalist Christianity thought. Its followers, called Dominionists, are attempting to peacefully convert the laws of United States so that they match those of the Hebrew Scriptures. They intend to achieve this by using the freedom of religion in the US to train a generation of children in private Christian religious schools. Later, their graduates will be charged with the responsibility of creating a new Bible-based political, religious and social order. One of the first tasks of this order will be to eliminate religious choice and freedom. Their eventual goal is to achieve the "Kingdom of God" in which much of the world is converted to Christianity. They feel that the power of God's word will bring about this conversion. No armed force or insurrection will be needed; in fact, they believe that there will be little opposition to their plan. People will willingly accept it. All that needs to be done is to properly explain it to them.

Johnson has lost the plot big time. It's only a matter of time before he's checked into the rubber room.
Obama didn't create the financial meltdown that started a year before election night. He's spending money [like Bush] because the republican de-regulation circle jerk allowed unregulated financial industries to destroy the economy.
There's a HUGE difference between Obama's massive spending and Bush's Massive spending. We need to spend money now.. Bush created the need to spend money.
A trillion dollar war based on cherry-picked faulty intelligence.. with BILLIONS missing to graft and corruption. A massive expansion of Government in the physical sense and in it's intrusiveness. That's Bush.. not Obama.
Obama's money is going to go into US infrastructure and the jobs needed to create that infrastructure. Where did Bush's Trillions go? He ran up a 4 TRILLION dollar debt over his 8 years. TRILLIONS of dollars of wealth just evaporated when our deregulated economy imploded.
You know where Obama will lead us.. if he delivers on his promises?
- billions in decreased health care costs
- Millions if not billions in decreased government costs (directed 100 Million in cuts this week)
- Updated infrastructure which will make the US economy more competitive in the future
- increased Alternative Energy which will make the US less dependent on regimes which undermine our interests abroad.
You had 8 years and you F'ed everything up. You lost.. step aside.
I don' t know much about Geller and Spencer, but I have been an LGF poster for years. Charles seemed to go off the deepend a few months ago. He started banning people and deleting comments simply because he disagreed with him.
Recently, there was a debate about whether or not the Nazi's (National Socialist Workers Party) were in fact socialists and/or leftists when they came to power in Germany. Mr. Johnson advanced the opinion that Nazi's were not socialists and were actually right wingers. I guess there is an argument for his view point, but he wasn't able to make it. He just kept repeating that "Nazi's were not socialists" like a troll. He eventually started to ban people and delete comments which politely and respectfully disagreed with him.
It really is a shame. Alexa shows his traffic down 20 some percent over the last three months. I think his behavior is destroying his blog.
I read somewhere that a "Charles Johnson" is strange variety of a "Moby" whose behavior discredits his own website. Seems true to me.
"It sez 'Sociliasts" rat thar in theyr name!!"
Get a brain/clue, moran.
Unfortunately, this is the level of discussion at LGF since Mr. Johnson went over the edge.
Dictatorships, for example, could never be recognized as socialist states as a dictator stands against everything basic socialist tenets stand for... unless you do the kind of polemics people like Goldberg are up to.
We ARE a socialist country. Like nearly every capitalistic democracy, we are actually a hybrid capitalistic-socialist nation.
Social Security and Medicare are HUGELY popular programs in the US. Every wonder why even the most rabid righ-wing lunatics in Congress don't take any substantive action to shut down entitlement programs? Because they'd get voted out of office if they really went away. All the do is shout and whine and nip that the heels of the programs. Could you imagine what would have happened to the Republican party if they had privatized Social Security? You'd be lucky to get 20% of the vote.
As per a poll released last week, over 60% of Americans believe Socialism is a better economic form than pure capitalism.
I'm having trouble with numbers right now but the vast majority of Americans support social security.
Most people want universal health care in one form or another.
And Taxes? Really?
95% of Americans are getting a tax break.
Even someone making well over the $250,000 limit, say $300,000, will pay a whopping $1500 more per year. Because the tax increase will be [less than] 3% on income OVER $250,000 the total increase for a $300,000 household is actually 0.5% for the full income.
This is what's going to destroy the nation? A top tax rate that is less than that of the booming 1990's ?? The top tax rate will be 15% LESS than the tax rate during the first 3 years of the Reagan administration.
You're a moron.
Hahahaha. Not only do you not know what socialism means - you don't understand capitalism.
Keep whatever you're smoking or drinking to yourself... jesus.
...and you're calling someone else a moron?
Good grief.

Seems Spencer’ ignorant, disingenuous, or complicit.
The threat appears real.
Of course I always go to Harper's Magazine to find out what my fellow conservatives really want to do, because that makes so much more sense than finding an actual conservative and, like, asking him.
Pam Geller "doing invaluable work for the counterjihad movement". Bwahahahaha!!!!!!!!
Don't you mean "doing invaluable work for the National Moron's movement?"
Pammy might be the stupidist person on the entire web. (Except for her readers, that is.)
Also, how do you have a voter registration---or drivers license, for that matter? You're either a large land mass or a political entity (I'd assumed the latter before).
You know, I'm starting to suspect that you may be misrepresenting yourself on the internet and are not in fact america or a Democrat! First off, as an incorporeal political entity, you wouldn't even have fingers to type with! And, of course, no "democrat" spends their time whining about how unfair to barely increase the marginal tax rate paid on income over 250k a year. That too.
Gosh, o.k. Let's try Mike Huckabee, a Republican candidate for, ummm, oh yeah, President of the United States of America:
"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution," Huckabee told a Michigan audience on Monday. "But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that's what we need to do -- to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view."
It was as a result of their obstinate defense of some of these groups (Vlaams Belaang for example), and their childish smearing of Charles in the process, that I stopped reading their sites.
Do you also ask something like that about the depictions Hammurabi or Mohammad?
"Why are there Biblical Inscriptions all over monuments in D.C.?"
Can you name me one of these monuments that have these inscriptions?
OTOH here's part of the inscriptions on JEFFERSON MEMORIAL:
"No man shall be compelled to frequent or support any religious worship or ministry or shall otherwise suffer on account of his religious opinions or belief, but all men shall be free to profess and by argument to maintain, their opinions in matters of religion. I know but one code of morality for men whether acting singly or collectively."
I attended that conference. There were NO 'unsavory groups' present. Charles Johnson perpetrated libel against decent people, probably for the sake of boosting his own ego. That has been quite harmful.
Please ditch the paranoia. It's utterly unfounded.
Oh, that was subtle of you, very subtle.
If you want to find out how highly Johnson values the pursuit of truth, just disagree with him and see how long you last on his blog. Or read his disgusting equivocation of Bush bending to accept an award with Obama's pathetic bow to the Saudi tyrant.
Or better yet, try challenging him over his new religion "Darwinism", or voice support of the right to life for the unborn. The guy has obviously gone quite insane. He now sees nazis behind every tree.
He has single-handedly divided the Conservative blog community merely to stroke his puerile ego.
He has developed a deep hatred for most of his own blog Lizards, thousands of whom he has banned without warning, and others who have just left and removed his site from their favorites.
I note that he removed the hit meter off the top of his pathetic little site after his traffic slowed to an embarrassing trickle. Just whose life is so boring that he only would want to go gush about Johnson's obsession with ripping "Creationists"? Ugh.
The guy was never an inspiring writer or world class mind, but he used to actively post excellent links and used his flashy Rather memo fame to attract top talent to comment on his once-great blog. I suppose he thought he was famous because of his own abbreviated posts, when actually all of the interesting insight came from his comment section from folks like Reader and Mama Winger.
Remarkably, he has become a troll on his own site, now frequented mostly by sychophants and single syllable stooges. If he weren't commenting on his own site his comment count would drop by 20 percent. Now if he loses Iron Fist, you can just turn out the lights.
Now our country has been taken over by an incompetent Marxist intent on putting our children deep into debt while destroying our currency and robbing our liberty; but all Johnson wants to do is endear himself to his Leftist band buddies by suggesting that Christian fundamentalists are tantamount to the taliban. Very sad.
Shari'ah states that "The Caliph makes war upon Jews, Christians and Zoroastrians", citing 9:29 as the basis for the ruling[O9.8]. Shari'ah states that "The Caliph fights all other peoples until they become Muslim [O9.9].
The Qur'an, hadith, tafsir & Shari'ah are available on the web. Reading them will help intelligent and open minded people (not bigots) to comprehend why Islam attacks us.
"That’s popular with the Geller/Spencer crowd.”
“Well, I don’t know if Geller got crazier. She always was nuts.”
When I read your quotes from the bloggers Johnson denigrates -- the incomparable Robert Spencer, the feisty Pamela Geller, and the meticulously rational and intelligent Dymphna and Baron -- I find no such vicious ad hominem. Their criticism of C.J. is reasoned and accurate. That difference, alone, speakes volumes.
Charles Johnson may once have spoken with reason and authority. For at least a year now, he seems to have abandoned both.
Whatever. Just, begone, Charles. You are boring and...BANNED! BWHAHAHA!
Please do not fall into the propaganda trap of equating conservative political values with bigotry, hatred, or right-wing ideology. That may pass for reasonable discourse with Rosie O'Donnell, but I hope you know better.
I would be more worried about a movement dependent upon the NY Times where you can buy a share of stock for less than one of their newspapers, while the WSJ is still one of the strongest in the land.
Obama's attempt to snuff out our free enterprise system and repeal the Constitution also could help.
With CJ and other intolerant RINOs seeking to curry favor with your side, I think Conservatives will do just fine.
Hell, "healthy" and "popular" aren't even in the same section of the dictionary.
What is unhealthy, and that goes for both Europe and the US, is that voters don't get educated in the underlying political philosophies of the choices. It tends to boil down to 30-second sound bites, with no context provided to explain how the ideas of a particular political party will benefit society in 10 or 20 years.
Obama was a wonderful recruiter, and his backing from people with serious money won him a soild victory. He has rewarded the backers with appropriate positions around him, so that Wall Street has never had as direct access to the US president as now. People may like to see banking so solidly in charge of the country.
For my part, I think there's something inherently unsound about the current situation.
As a result of Johnson's obsessive attacks on creationists, religious conservative s and his puerile attacks on a host of conservative bloggers I have written off LGF as a rational voice in the conservative blogosphere
. For some months I ignored his disjointed obsessive ranting posts and comntinued to use his link viewer as a surfing tool for surfing conservative websites. Roughtly two months ago Johnson's disjointed attacks and his banning from his site of some of the web world's most eloquent anti-jihadist okepeople I decided to move on and ignore his site. He has banned numerous registered users from posting links and comments on his blog on subjects he refuses to consider or hear out. It is more than a little disheartening to witness LGF's degeneration to little more than an incoherent rant.from its once leading role in the blogosphere in exposing media malpractice, lamestream media agendist fauxtography considering Johnson's role in exposing Dan Blather and May Mapes' attempt at election fraud and rigging in 2004.
Check 'christian reconstruction movement'. They group may be small, but they're not non-existent. And, indeed, it's fair to say that the urge to base marriage law on Biblical principles is the most common example of an attempt to force religious ideas on the entire culture based on one small group's interpretation.
Fair and balanced?
Sharia law is not what you make it sound like. Muslims find it very offensive to read that their religious beliefs are repressive and inherently discriminatory. What you are saying is that your religion is the one that is good and that Muslims should adopt yours. Please.
Muslims should be free to run their societies the way the decide, not how YOU decide.
After enslaving blacks for over 200 years (in laws and with the approval of the supreme court), you can't just play God and dictate to others how they should conduct their lives.
Neither Arabs or Muslims are going to become your negros. We may have problems with our societies but it is none of your business. Our women are capable of defending their rights and they don't need to patronized by people with a long established history of slavery, religious persecution (against mormons, and now muslims), and institutional racism.
What Chutzpa!
Islam was founded by a pedophile and murderer, his followers continue in his tradition. It is Iran that wants to destroy Israel, and says they will. It is Arabs that refuse to settle Palestinians in their huge territories, instead wanting them to live in squalor so they can use them as a sympathy play to the fools in the West.
It is Islam that produced less scientific research than the nation of Norway. That is a nation of 4 million scientifically outproduced 800 million people. Any nation under Islam is a darkened women-hating society. Deal with it, all of what I said is true and can be found in two clicks on the internet. Islam is DEATH! It loves death, celebrates death, indoctrinates its children with death. Islam gives the world suicide bombers and crazed rhetoric from ignorant clerics. And yes do what you want in your own primitive cultures, if that was all you did, we could live with that. Some of us woke up the day some of your death squads killed 3,000 innocent people, and we will not fall back to sleep.
Of all of the violence committed by radical Muslim groups in the last 30 years all over the world does not come close to the people the US government murdered and napalmed in Vietnam within 3 years. Over 3 million civilians were killed in Vietnam and thousands still die every year due to agent orange and hundreds of thousands of unexploded bombs that continue to maim people to this very day.
Iran says that it wants Israel out of the Middle East. There are over 60,000 Jews living in Iran. Majority of people in the Middle East consider Israel to be a colonial state founded by Europeans, which is true.
Killing 3000 people is a crime and so is starving to death over half a million children in Iraq so you can get exclusive access to oil, not to mention the war-crimes committed during that same war.
The people who killed 3000 people on 9-11 are no different than US officials who have killed millions of people since the 60s under the excuse of spreading "freedom" (by bombing and killing them).
The US government is one step-below Nazism. It is the only government that used nuclear bombs on innocent people (and proud of it!) and which continues to own the biggest means of committing mass-murder in the history of mankind.
Do not speak to anybody about being civilized when your violent governments continue to electrocute and poison its citizens (mostly the blacks) with the approval of courts. We are not your negros.
Non-Muslims, who examine the issue in detail, find it very offensive how repressive and inherently discriminatory Islam and its scriture are. I read them, including the Sirat (Ibn Ishaq & Al-Tabari).
Muslims should do themselves a favor and actually READ their own scripture instead of having their imam explain away the bigotry and racism therein.
Jewish persecution in Europe was wide-spread (the Germans just industrialized it) for the same reasons you are now writing about Muslims.
It is all based on ignorance and on intolerance.
Muslims need not to be told how they should read their own religious texts or how they should interpret them and, trust me on this, they are not going to wait until they are driven to death camps like sheep because what you read and interpreted on some book. Islamic theology is a "science" of its own within the Islamic world and it is taken seriously.
The problem that exists today, which is perceived as Muslim vs non-Muslim and promoted as such by many (on both sides), is a political problem between neo-colonialism (lead by the US government today) and weaker nations who are not able to defend themselves and which resort to the use of clandestine asymmetric tactics (not that official tactics used by the US government are better, they in fact killed many more people).
You can not possible think that the US government along with few European allies can unilaterely decide on who should have control on the oil reserves in the Middle East, do you?
Gulf War I has left a scar on many Arabs and Muslims and even the Kuwaiti opposed the brutal and inhumane tactics that killed so many innocent people implemented by the violent US government.
You must think the lives of Arabs/Muslims are less worthy and that having access to oil is more worthy than human lives.
It is not.
No. I think it's a rather stupid idea.
Instead of investing billions in getting rid of Saddam, we should have invested those same billions in building new technology so we would not even have to bother about getting control of oil.
I always found that the Iraq war was stupid, and that the 'evidence' presented for it by the US government (I watched Colin Powell closely in the UN) was seriously unconvincing. I do have some serious issues with the US foreign policy. Probably Bush should have listened a bit more to the spokesmen of "Old Europe" instead of deriding them.
Johnson is most comfortable on the sidelines.
He has always been a session player and just isn't regarded as a main who can hold spotlight. Johnson has been consistently a day late and a dollar short -- he started writing mediocre code at the end of the boom, tried a quick ride to reknown on the backs of the 9/11 victims, bailed quickly on the never profitable Pajamas Media (where did all that VC money go, anyway?) and has now decided that publicly mocking his former allies is the way to fill his suddenly less expensive sidebar advertising space.
Johnson is a parasite and will latch on to any host he thinks will get his weird little echo chamber a few dozen more comments. Just so long as he doesn't have to take a real stand or come up with an original thought.
Because, you see, our pony tailed squeaky voiced lizard leader has a very thin and light sensitive skin.
Some of these criticisms of Charles are hysterical.
Of course, it may be fun or feel self-righteous to whip up an atmosphere of hate against various imaginary 'fascist' or 'neo-Nazi' groups. It can even give an impression of being smart, when you make outrageous statements about unknown people on other continents (CJ focuses his attacks on Europeans). But none of that makes what CJ says true.
It's better to stay away from the Stalinistic bigory of LGF.
Pamela Geller has documented that actual neo-Nazis joined ranks with Islamists and Antifa-style people in their common hate against Israel. Pamela is Jewish, too. She knows a bit about the evils of Nazism.
CJ, on the other hand, is quite clueless as to what Nazism is, and unjustly smears people just because they want the right to rule their own countries. For CJ, that is a Nazi attitude.
I don't know if CJ ever visited Europe. If he did, he could examine matters himself, and would find that Nazis are fringe groups - and that the neo-Nazis don't really oppose Islam, as Islam fits their own world view better than a modern, Capitalist rule of law state. We saw that in Cologne too, where the local neo-Nazis condemned the Pro Köln Islam-critical movement for being pro-Jewish.
The tiny neo-Nazi group in Belgium hates the Vlaams Belang as well. "Traitors to the cause" (of hating Jews). VB routinely stands up for Jews and for Israel, as a matter of principle.
Now I think that it's time to stop smearing and look at the trouble of Durban II etc.
Stop saying that Islam collides with the rule of law or with modernism.
What you know about Islam is limited and distorted and biased by your obvious prejudice.
Nazis believe in the rule of the law to the point that they followed the orders of driving millions of people to death camps without questioning government policy.
Finally, opposing Israeli policies and its colonial aspect does not mean opposing Jews.
People have opposed colonists for centuries. Some have succeeded, some didn't. This is no different.
I'm not basing this on "obvious prejudice". I'm basing it on having read Islamic scripture extensively, including the Al-Tabari / Ibn Ishaq accounts of the life of Muhammad. And on reading the newspapers, too. It's all out there.
Otherwise, not so much. That is, in the hands of enlightened people, the Koran and Bible teach us much about how to live in peace and prosperity, as well as in the good graces of the Creator, if s/he exists.
http://www.jcpa.org/phas/phas-kuntzel-s05.htm
The ones in the US (who go by the name hawkish republicans) constitute a threat to world peace and security. They are still eager to wage war, kill and die for "their country". They believe they own the truth and the only truth and ready to "sacrifice" their lives in the streets of Baghdad or Fallujah.
People like CJ promotes this neo-Nazi mentality.
The only reason the US has not become a full-fledged Nazi state is because the left has been holding off the right-wing neo-fascists.
The scary European Far Right Movement is a myth. But I still see people jumping at shadows about it. Read up a bit, it will evaporate the fears.
this???
from the people who gave us "freedom fries" ???
do those ideas come from Old Europe
or New Europe
freepers in Brussels ???
who in God's Ironic Geography department thought of that ???
are you kidding me ???
a left wing fascist ???
dude, get a clue, take a political science class, or wear a helmet
fascists come from the right wing
commies come from the left wing
you can't just interchange words cuz one of them makes you wet your pants more than the other
it's called LANGUAGE
try learning it
"commies come from the left wing"
Sorry, wrong answer. I *took* the classes. Fascism and Communism are closely related. They are both statist, centralist ideologies where the State is supposed to regulate and control everything. The main difference is that Fascism is nationalistic, while Communism is internationalistic, seeking to impose their stupid system on the rest of humanity.
Mussolini and Lenin probably knew each other in Switzerland before WWI, where they both were deeply engaged in the socialist movements there. Mussolini fought in WWI, and noticing that the soldiers would identify with their nations, not with some abstract ideal, he changed his ideas accordingly and renounced the internationalist ideas, retaining the fundamental socialist ideals in a nationalistic framework. Hitler, who was a much worse ideologist than Mussolini, was basically an opportunist. But still, Goebbels and others made it perfectly clear that they were heading _socialist_ movements, despising the Conservatives, market economy, gold-based money, America and banking.
After the defeat of Nazi Germany, Stalin made a point of smearing the Nazis, fascist etc. as right-wing (Mussolini also confusingly said that), despite the fact that those ideologies were very similar to Soviet Communism, a fact exposed in a famous exhibit in Moscow after the end of the Cold War.
Conservativism (rule of law, free markets, small state) is the diametrically opposite of fascism.
Charles Johnson is not aware of that. After a while smearing everyone in sight for being 'fascist', he actually picked up the classic by Paxton on the subject, and attemted to frame the Vlaams Belang to fit into the Paxton definition of fascism. Needless to say, that was a very poor fit.
It is not good style to smear non-fascists for being fascists. Actually, it's quite harmful.
In the context we are using it here, neo-fascist or neo-Nazi means someone who believes they are far superior than others, others are less worthy, and that they can use violence/force to impose their values on others and who do not see a problem a subjecting others for their own exclusive benefits.
If the Nazi thinkers were alive today, they may have embraced capitalism and used to industrialized quickly and to build their armies to teeth.
Right-wingers in the US are often accused to being neo-fascist because they tend to espouse the things I explained above. It has nothing to do with belong to right vs left.
But using the Nazi smear should be done with caution. If you call a non-Nazi 'Nazi', it's libel. Blood libel, in a sense, because you are trying to associate that person to some of the worst crimes committed in history. While it may make you feel morally superiour, it is quite unethical.
Nazism can't embrace Capitalism, make a fortune and go to war. Try reading up a bit on history (there I go again...) Nazism was not economically viable, and it financed its war expenses mainly through plunder of the Jews. In Capitalism, where private property is respected, Nazism would be broke in 6 months.
Of course, I can think of Capitalist countries who do build their armies to the teeth and go on interesting wars far from home. The Vietnam war (and its democracy-building project) wasn't exactly a success, nor has the Iraq war been (so far), nor has the interventions in the Balkans (except the US got a nice, nuge military base in Kosovo: Bondsteel).
I'm critical of the US government for these things. But I'm not interested in using the Nazi smear, even though it by your definition would be justified.
Nazi's were right wingers, period. Stop making stuff up.
What part of that is hard to understand?
Honestly. I can't decide if lefties deliberately misrepresent such things or if they really ARE that stupid.
Read a fucking history book you thick skulled literalist. Fascism is a right wing phenomenon and Hitler and Mussolini persecuted and killed leftists. Jesus H. Christ ! Did you even go to high school?
Moron. Where exactly did Hitler's Nazi's emulate socialist policies? And where did they every maintain an alliance with a truly socialist nation?
They were right wing fascists with no tolerance for diversity or dissent, name notwithstanding.

From Wikipedia:
"The SA under Röhm's leadership soon became a major problem for the party. Many of the 700,000 members of this well-armed working-class militia took the "socialist" element of "national socialism" seriously, and soon began to demand that the Nazi regime broaden its attack from SPD and KPD activists and Jews to include the capitalist system. In addition, Röhm and his associates saw the SA as the army of the new revolutionary Nazi state, replacing the old aristocratic officer corps. The army was still outside party control, and Hitler feared that it might stage a putsch if its leaders felt threatened with an SA take-over. The business community was also alarmed by the SA’s socialist rhetoric, with which, as noted earlier, Hitler had no sympathy beyond transferring power from Churches to the State."
or how about this (http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-hitler.htm), it quotes William Shirer. Haven't you read Rise and Fall Of The THird Reich?
"And what of Nazi Germany? The idea that workers controlled the means of production in Nazi Germany is a bitter joke. It was actually a combination of aristocracy and capitalism. Technically, private businessmen owned and controlled the means of production. The Nazi "Charter of Labor" gave employers complete power over their workers. It established the employer as the "leader of the enterprise," and read: "The leader of the enterprise makes the decisions for the employees and laborers in all matters concerning the enterprise." (1)"
*Believes they are far superior than others
*Use violence/force to impose their values on others
*Do not see a problem in subjecting others for their own benefit
It would appear that the nazi "thinkers" are indeed alive today and are destroying the capitalist system for their own political power. The fascists in the U.S. have always been the leftists as Jonah Goldberg demonstrates in his bestselling book "Liberal Fascism".
It is also instructive that as CJ moves back to the left, his blog has become more fascist and intolerant of opposing ideas. He now gets off by quickly banning anyone he sees as a threat.
Conservatives believe in freedom, the rule of law, and the vision of the founding fathers. Obama and his ilk want to burn it down.
Take a look in the mirror johnson. There's a reason why so many are looking at johnson and wondering where did his sanity go?
Thanks Again,
Lex
A former fellow nutjob that's actually come to his senses.
She's crossed the line.
so Huckabee wanting to amend the Constitution to bring it in line with biblical laws is a myth?! And the guy who founded the Homeschool movement as a counter to 'secular public education' and the Chalcedon Group, Rousas Rushdoony, did NOT author "The Institutes of Biblical Law" that lays out a plan to convert American jurisprudence to Mosaic Law?!
I guess Bill Moyers photoshopped and overdubbed everything from his PBS series "On Earth As It Is In Heaven". But really, I'm guessing that Spencer didn't even really look for information on Dominionist or Reconstructionist movements. Because if he had...he would have found that there are a LOT of folks who believe that the problems of the world in general, and America in particular, are the result of 'taking God out of our lives"...and quite a few of those people support putting him back in, by force if necessary.
Google suggestions: Gary North, Rousas Rushdoony, Chalcedon Group, Aubrey Vaughn, Paul Pressler, Dominionism, Christian Nation.

You right-wing types just throw these words around because you think they will scare poeple, but you have no idea whatsoever of their meaning, because you are mostly ignorant slobs who will believe anything EXCEPT the truth. Truth is anathema to you all. It is like daylight to vampires. It makes you turn into puddles of foaming goo, which is what you really are in your natural state anyway.
If you were paying attention at all, you'd have noticed that just yesterday the news reported that he had stated he is open to prosecuting Bush administration officials.
Nation before world, party before nation, but the movement above all.
Pure Comedy Gold
We should all hope that conservatism can oust this sort. If not, we can look forward to ever larger government spending, entitlement programs, and interference in the daily lives of Americans in general.
It's hard to say "I understand and respect your position" when you have people wanting to deport (or worse) entire races en masse, or continue to push for failed policies with confused justifications that basically boil down to "It didn't fail, it's just deferred success! The answer is to become MORE CONSERVATIVE! Gays and libruls are to blame!" etc etc.
The teabaggers are just a physical manifestation of that confusion and, frankly, inability to adjust to new realities.
Our children and grandchildren will be crushed by mountains of debt for generations, and the American dream is being quickly mortgaged to the billions of industrious Chinese who now own us.
Government borrowing now is directed at infrastructure and human development projects that will actually have some positive, long term return. Is it risky? You bet. Does the administration know that? Yes, and they have publicly acknowledged that.
But they had little choice but to apply shock therapy to the dying remnants of the Bush economy.
You can search the history of his blog and find not one post containing real political analysis. He just loves to make un-funny, infantile and shortish snarky comments about others and sit back to see the reaction. Typical troll, and not a smart one too.
I have more respect for an enemy like Obama who is consistent in his beliefs and tells you flat out that he is trying to destroy your way of life, rather than a trojan horse like Johnson.
Liberals love back-stabbers like Johnson and Frum because they can triumphantly trot them out for their own political gain. Look at how the little Lib scum on this site are orgasmic over his defection.
And there most certainly are Christians trying to seize control of this country... as well as Fundie rightists who say they want to replace the Constitution with "God's Law."
When Obama has led this country down a well-thought-out path, right down the middle, and we get through the Bush Recession, and nothing horrible happens, all your Obama-scare rhetoric will look like the "01/01/2000" computer crisis that never happened.
And y'all will get to eat your words.
Hoo-ray.
Obama has broadly undermined the confidence and trust of millions of smart producers who drive the economy by deciding whether to invest or hire or retire. Guess what they have chosen?
Looking on the bright side, Obama has been in office only three months, and already he has inspired hundreds of thousands of patriotic protesters to march in the streets.
Unless Conservatives can retake the country like Newt did with his Contract For America in 1994, America becomes the United States of France, and our grandchildren will be crushed under mountains of debt and interest payments and loss of civil liberties for generations.
But Conservatives vow to throw off this tyrannical yoke and reclaim the vision of our founding fathers, despite the betrayal of quislings like CJ and Frum.
... and just in case you missed it, "confidence" and "trust" took a nosedive long before Obama took office. I suspect you just didn't notice it until Bush tucked tail and ran off to read his back issues of Superfudge.
"By the way, radical Islamists are also very opposed to the theory of evolution, and very big on their own version of "intelligent design." It's something that Islamofascists and far-right religious fanatics have in common."

Not much open discourse on LGF for quite some time.
He also ridicules and denigrates anyone who believes in even the remotest possibility that God actually created anything.
He also has delusions that people are "trashing" him. He's so paranoid, he closed his "lounge" chat room stating that people were "badmouthing" him in his own chat. That is bull. I never trashed him there nor did I see anyone else trash him there. We ABANDONED his chat and created our own (a link to which you can find on my blog). He chat was defunct for two days before he figured it out. And, while he says he's such a great programmer, it took him FOUR DAYS to fully shut it down.
The man is a fool and no longer credible on ANY topic.
Mark Levin, the Great One, cuts through the bunk in his new bestseller, "Liberty and Tyranny", which explains that the real debate is, and has always been, between the Statists who seek state control and Libertarians who seek to protect individual liberty.
CJ is a Statist, who wants a strong defense to protect him from the bogeyman de jour. You Obama worshippers can have him. Enjoy.
The net effect is to reduce the power of the rightblogosphere. Instead of ideological purity tests, it would make more sense to attempt to inculcate all points of view. Eating one's own is just counter-productive. But I guess that's the way the crumble cookies, right now.
The delusions of the right-wing are immense, deep, and polluted.
Wow. Facts can clear the room of wingnuts in a hurry!
Bill O'Reilly is a leftist?
And the word "argument", you right wing ignoramus.
Abhorent Zionist neocon communists with an all pro corporate Israel agenda. They have never differed from this policy, watch their actions not their mouths.
And they have been around for years. Its time for these pretenders to join their Globalist buddies over in Tel Aviv. And take the neocon skinheads with them, there is not a flourishing movement of anti-semites after all.
There is only a flourishing movement of trickster Ziocon elites, formenting "antisemitic" canards and lies in order to promote their anti-semitic anti-humanity agenda.
Thanks for that. Best laugh I've had all day. :D
Enjoy your 1.5 years left in power while the rest of us sit in amazement and waiting to see what Kang and Kodos will screw up next.
Inference: you don't exist.
We're not praising him.
We're mocking you.
Whenever a couple groups of wingnuts decide to go wingnutty in opposition to each other, it's pure entertainment. We pop some corn, kick back, and enjoy the fireworks.
Juneval once talked about "panem et circenses"... bread and circuses.
We have the bread.
You're the circus.
You outed yourself, Terror boi. If your terrorist heroes were justified in attacking the USA for "revenge" then any and all past and future repraisals against Muslims is also justified as revenge for the innumerable terror attacks by Muslims. Nobody is buying your colonialism bunk. America has never been a big player in colonialism. Imperialism, Colonialism, & Neo-Colonialism has been the domain of the Europeans and the Arabs .
Fundamental logic error. To point out someone's motivations is not to condone them.
Intellectual purity is fundamental dogma of the right. It might work better if the weren't wrong about so much. (Of course, that intellectual purity is a major reason why they ARE wrong about so much.)
If that's what Charles chooses to blog about, fine, it's his blog. But I used to read his blog because it was unique. It is not unique any more.
You're really quite full of it. Arabs wrote the book on slavery and continue to this day to subject black Africans to slavery.
You can't even say there MIGHT be evidence that scientifically verifies a designer behind anything in the universe. it's total Naturalism or nothing for Johnson. Even those who would say they believe God created life but used evolution to do it often get attacked there for 'waffling' on Naturalism.
Johnson is out to save America from people who believe science might be able to demonstrate life isn't a huge cosmic accident.
That probably drove as many readers away as the attack on fellow bloggers on taking terrorism to seriously.
Given how abominably ignorant Americans are about science, especially the theory of evolution, that's a noble cause.
One can only hope for that much enlightenment.
I went to one of these "Tea Parties".... and I heard a lot of crazy talk, primarily against "the international banking conspiracy" and their bankrolling of the nation's "elite." It all struck me as dangerously close to Nazi ideology.
Right now the GOP is floundering.... and if the people themselves don't take responsibility for their party, I guarantee that there are extremist activists who are ready and waiting to fill the vacuum with their white nationalist agenda.
I am more concerned about America's acceptance of the traitorous "Congressional Black Caucus". Say how about a "Congressional White Caucus" ... how does that sound?
I am more concerned about America's acceptance of a President who worships with jeremiah wright and "father" phleger. Say how about a President who is buddies with david duke ... how does that sound?
It sounds like you have little regard for facts and no regard for American history. That's how it sounds.
<cue Ilsa, She-Wolf of the GOP in form fitted PVC, a riding crop in one hand and a copy of Atlas Shrugged in the other>
Arguments are for people with reasoned positions. It's a waste of time trying to talk sense to someone who "knows what they know" regardless of facts or reality.
... but it can be fun and rewarding to mock them mercilessly.
Strawmen will only get you so far, "freedom fan".
Such talk is danngerously close to National Socialism comrades! We must put a stake through the hearts of our enemies buy controlling the press and imprisoning those who doe not emvrace the enlightened message of Comrade Barfly. Review his comments and see how enlightened and clear his thoughts are. Clearly he is a product of our educational system and clearly he has advanced as far as his incredible mental abilities and self esteem have allowed him to. Its time to smash the artifical barriers that prevented Comrade Barfly from graduating from the second grade and allow him to receive the wages he believes society owes him.
Truly the People's Secularist Marxist Dhimmirat Party of United Cooperatives is demonstrating its ability to fulfill the vacuum caused by those who whose ambitions exceed their intelligence by a degree which explains the gravitational distortions that such greed, envy and hated generates.
All hail Comrade Barfly soon to be Commissar Barfly, head of the Ministry of Truth.
Now, I think Fractional Reserve Banking is a decent concept, but misusing it to create inflation is dishonest. That moves power from ordinary working & saving people to the financial system.
But it's not something I go ballistic over. Bought some gold and mining stocks, waiting to see the dollar tumble. Then the banking elite will have some serious explaining to do.
The person described in the article above is a sissy and can't take criticism. I wrote on another website some snarky comments about how LGF had gotten lost in the creationsim argument and pondered in jest, "What exactly is a Vlaams Belang?" Simply because I think the name has a ridiculous sound to it.
I know exactly what VB is, as I have read all the posts. It was a joke and someone, who shall rename nameless, but looks and sounds a lot like the guy in the previous article, took shame and canceled my LGF account by the following morning. Sad.
I cried for nearly. . .well, never actually.
I am hardly a threat to the "almighty" LGF and the previously unamed guy in the article above. Maybe someone out there is a little too sensitive to criticism?
I operate a blog that gets 30 hits a day for the lonely folks of the world who come by to see posts about my cats and tomato plants. Big deal. Life moves on.
Maybe he should open a panty factory so he'll be in fresh supply. Seems to get them wadded often.
He is using Taqiyya, against which form of "argument" you cannot win.
Taqiyya is a game of outwitting to play a crowd. He has practiced it for many years, as it is an integral part of Islam. Fool the Infidel. Lie to the Infidel regarding the aims and goals of the Ummah.
Just ignore his deceptive ass, because rational argument is not possible with this technique.
You can never convince a partisan. Don't even try. Every time you engage in a political debate you're debating not for the purpose of convincing the other guy, but to convince the people on the sidelines who are as yet undecided, or who haven't solidified their worldviews into total inflexibility.
Is that any more far fetched or fundamentally different from a belief in intelligent design? Wouldn't it be ludicrous to allow Crick's theory in the classroom, but ban any mention of the possibility of a supreme being?
If you want to try an experiment to test CJ's respect for truth and his celebration of opposing viewpoints, simply cut and paste my comment into his intolerant echo chamber.
(For you Libs, Francis Crick and James Watson discovered the double helix DNA molecule.)
Crick became enamoured of the idea of directed exogenesis, that we were specifically "seeded", by extraterrestrials. He hypothesized that if an advanced race wanted to generate more life in the universe, the most efficient way to do that would be to shoot off bits of RNA in the direction of stars most likely to allow those strands to find habitable planets upon which to replicate. There was no mention of 'spaceships', only that the problems associated with interstellar travel had to be overcome. I believe his personal favorite mechanism was that of spores in a protected environment (say, in the interior of a comet).
Did he say "This is the way it happened?" No. He said that it's a possibility, and given what he considered a low probability of abiogenesis on what was then believed to be the early earth at the time (and before the discovery of extremophiles) it was a possibility that he personally liked.
He didn't burn anyone at the stake for disagreeing with him. Nor to my knowledge claim that everyone who DIDN'T think the way he thought as wrong. Or evil. He just thought that abiogenesis was a neat idea, supported by evidence from things like the Miller-Urey experiment, but believed that the early earth was an unsuitable place for it to come from.
For all we know, he may be right. One way he said his hypothesis could be tested is that when we discover life on other planets they would share similar characteristics. I suspect when that day arrives, proponents of exogenesis theories will be avidly awaiting DNA sequencing to see if that's the case.
"Is that any more far fetched or fundamentally different from a belief in intelligent design?" ... well, yes, which is something creationists seem to not be able to understand. There is a body of evidence that suggests carbon-based life, based on RNA / DNA replicators, could potentially self-assemble given the correct combination of natural conditions without the need for a 'master planner'. It's not a guarantee, of course, there's no lab with abio'd critters slinking about in the sludge of some test tube yet, but there is a fundamental difference between saying "I think perhaps life could happen spontaneously, and here's some of the mechanisms that offer support to that possibility tested by multiple people with similar result" and "The all-powerful sky god mote it so, woe betide the nonbeliever".
Prob about as likely as you pulling your foot out of your mouth. You describe miracles that can't be proven yet strike down other people because they are honest about believing in miracles that can't be proven.
Creationists: "Big God in Sky make all. Believe or we will kill you."
Abiogenesists: "There's evidence to show that this could happeny. We don't know for sure, but there's a real possibility. But hey, if you don't like it, go give your money to the Big God in Sky people."
And frankly, the bar for "miracle" is set pretty low. What you call a miracle, I call a funny pattern on toast.
What Creationists are trying to kill anyone? Oh yeah...
There's evidence in favor of ID as well, not even including Creationism. The odds of having acorns fall in the shape of a 10-letter word will practically never happen - yet oh, hark! DNA molecules, complete with all sorts of working machinery, have sprung from mud! Or been placed here from another planet!
And your toast analogy just shows how grounded in smug you are - I'll just take that as a NO, you have not read up on your statistics before opening your mouth.
Don't you have TA duties to look after?
Keep going though, you amuse me greatly! So go on Junior... why don't you tell the class all about the Intelligent Creationism^H^H^H^H^H^H^HDesign "evidence"?
BRB... my popcorn's just about ready. Maybe a burnt kernel will look like Saint Kevin, patron saint of crows. Huzzah, a miracle awaits!
PS - There are no specific statistics, just increasingly wild guesstimates made by people with incomplete knowledge. If you knew the subject matter, you'd know that already... Or perhaps you're just playing the "ignorant and proud" role.
The Constitution says that Congress shall make no law with respect to establishing a religion. It's quite a stretch to use that as an excuse to regard any mention of God in a school room as a firing offense.
The whole topic is boring because Jesus worshippers aren't a mortal threat to America.
But the Obama-worshippers certainly are.
Mu.
Brilliant people like you believe that life is so complex that its creation cannot be explained by evolution; so assistance from chartreuse space aliens may have been involved.
Only religious Neanderthals hold that life is so complex that its creation may be the result of assistance from a Supreme Being. Therefore, any teacher who mentions God in the classroom should be fired immediately.
First off, aliens may also be mauve or azure. Possibly even plaid.
Second, evolution is separate from abiogenesis. Please refer to the reading material.
Third, abiogenesis need not involve aliens, plaid or otherwise. Crick happened to like that idea, but its not necessary, and certainly not the most popular concept. Doesn't mean he's not right, he may well be, we just don't know.
Fourth, creationists don't "hold that life is so complex that its creation MAY be the result"... they say "It *HAS* to be the result of a god. There's no other way." If you leave open the option that something else happened, by definition you're not a creationist... you're a "something else"ist.
Fifth, science class is for science, religious classes are for religion. When creationism is subjected to scientific rigor and can hold it's own as a theory which can compete on its own merits against abiogenesis, exogenesis and other more exotic natural-force theories then by all means, include it. Does that mean teachers should be fired for believing that? No... but they shouldn't be foisting their personal beliefs on the class. There's a cirriculum, stick to it.
Fifth (addendum), by the way... there's perhaps one day's worth of class time devoted to abiogenesis and exogenesis, basically saying "this is being researched, who knows what'll turn up". It's not like it's being talked about at length day after day. Most biology classes before university involve identifying types of cells by organelle and cell wall, identify organs in dissected frogs and the like (which inevitably results in chasing the cute girls in class around with a disembowled frog impaled on a dissection tool... fun for the whole class!)
Personally, I'm waiting for a local church to give equal time to a proponent of abiogenesis to set up an apparatus in the pews and conjure up some amino acids in real time. Don't see a whole lot of that going on in churches across the land...
... well, with the exception of the Unitarians. They're pretty cool about that sort of thing.
Stay classy johnson, wow seen it all now.
Do you think those wonderful railroad builders for instance, who built the transcontinental railroad, did so as a result of the 'free market?' No, they did so with huge subsidies and land grants from the government. That was a government program.
Land Grant Universities worked out pretty well. Rural electrification, road building, the Interstate Highway System.
The free market got us into the Great Depression and into this mess we are in now. There has to be rules and there has to be someone enforcing those rules or people will steal. In recent times it's the incredibly rich stealing to get filthy rich.
I think you started to get in trouble with idiots, never and ever.
And really, our amazing and inexpensive health care system is really working out so well. I want to pay 4 thousand a year in premiums with a 400 dollar deductible per person, heck last year I only had to come up with another 5000 dollars to pay for my family's care. I am so honored to be able to contribute to the lifestyles of the rich with one sixth of my income. I am sure those insurance company execs thought fondly of me on their luxury vacations to places most of us only see on the National Geographic.
:D
/you ass
Tell ya what, keyboard commandos... you're so convinced that ZOMG TEH SOCLEESTS R GOING TO END TEH WORLDZ, sign over your checks. I'll hop on the phone with my lawyer and we'll draw up a nice little agreement so you'll never, ever have to worry about taking that dirty, dirty money.
I mean, it shouldn't be at all a problem for you guys. You're never going to see it, right? So I'll be the only one losing out by going through the legal motions.
Another "MacBeth Conservative"... Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
In case you haven't noticed kiddo, change happens.
As for this ridiculous claim of $35 an hour wages... no, no it wouldn't. Why wouldn't it? Because corporations are required to maximize profit for the company. Wages are a cost. Costs come off profit bottom lines, therefore wages have to be kept to a minimum to maximize those profits. There's plenty of companies out there that have the cashflow to double their entire workforce's wages, overnight. They won't ever do that, though. Why? Because they wouldn't get increases in productivity to match the cash outlay.
It's the most economically advantageous for corporations to pay workers as little as possible and work them as hard as they can get away with. That maximizes their profits. Anyone who DOESN'T work that way is viewed with suspicion and derision... Take a look at the crap heaped on CostCo for daring to pay their workers a living wage.
I've yet to see anyone pay $2000 to find out if they have a cold.
I HAVE met a person with private insurance who ended up paying $28,000 because he got bit by a fruit bat. Insane.
That said... look at Sweden. Universal health care, government run, longer life expectancy and lower infant mortality rate. Cheaper on a per capita basis. Much healthier lifestyle overall.
Or Canada. Universal health care, government run, longer life expectancy and lower infant mortality rate. Cheaper on a per capita basis... and you can't say the canadian lifestyle is all that much different. Canadians eat junk food and smoke and drink with great abandon, yet they live longer and are healthier overall. Why? Less fear of getting tagged with a huge bill when going to the doc to check out why they have chest pains, or blurry vision, or whatever.
And greed definitely applies to anyone who wants to keep his own money instead of giving it to you and Barney Frank to waste on pork and vote buying.
75% of the Federal budget is spent on 4 things: DOD, Social Security, Medicare, and Interest on the National Debt. YOu want to cut the budget in a way that matters, you tell me which of those things you get rid of.
Just roll back all of the Bush-Obama-Pelosi porkulus, send Congress home and give all the folks a one year tax holiday.
Then stand back and watch the job-making economy shoot skyward.
All this could be done for a fraction of the alarming expansion of the national debt.
One year without police. One year without fire services. One year without garbage collection or mail service. One year without roads being fixed, or sewers being unplugged.
So at the end of this year, exactly how much of the country do you think would be left that hadn't been pillaged, burnt, buried under a ton of garbage and isolated from everyone else?
Taxes are the dues we pay to have membership in an exclusive club called 'civilization'. If you want to live like Ted Kaczynski that's fine, leave the rest of us out of your bush baby fantasy land.
Get rid of the subsidies to foreign countries who hate us. Shut down the U.N. Bring the troops home.
Why do libs suddenly become "fiscally responsible" only when talking about tax cuts? When it comes to spending it's ... here. Take some money from the rich. Have some more from the poor. Borrow some more from our kids. Here is all our grandkids' money too.
Pathetic.
Why is it that government only grows and grows like a cancer and never has to actually cut anything. Ever?
Again, 75% of the budget goes to four items. Which of those four do you cut? Let's hear it.
I find it hard to believe you're in the top 5% of earners in this country. What do you make? Chances are you got a tax cut under Obama.
Lots more misspellings in your post. Please be more careful. When you make so many mistakes, it could lead people to think everything else you say is wrong too.
Hmmm, wonder how long those "tax cuts" are going to last? What's your guess?
Nazism-Fascim-Socialism_Communism all branches of leftist ideals and the lust for power over people to control all things about people. Read something in your life not written by the lilnguist Noam Chomsky who is a linguist not a political scientist which explains why he is wrong so often but is able to word his ignorance so well.

I am offended everytime I hear some Democratic hack call the tea parties Astroturf.
Everyone needs a hobby, I suppose.
America should be CAPITALIZED. Aren't you proud of your country? Shame on you.
Also: "your" should be "You're," as in a contraction for "You are." And please capitalize our Lord God's name as well, to show respect.
For a 'spontaneous uprising', it sure had a lot of pre-planned corporate backing and TV time.
PS - Astroturf.
Typical leftist projection of what they have done onto something that they can't believe wasn't done the way they would have to in order to make it happen.
Like I said, for a 'spontaneous uprising', it had an awful lot of pre-planned corporate backing and TV time.
Unless you figure that robocalls and TV ads "just happen", in which case you might want to check out "creationism".
All that being equal, there was... what, one tenth of one percent of the population out there? If that? That's quite the MONSTER TURNOUT yo... *lol*
Nothing frames what kind of people read LGF quite like the fact that they are offended when creationism is discussed as the fairy tale that it is.
We have the opportunity to be alive during a time of human existence where we can prove things though science that kept people ingnorant, oppressed and superstitious for centuries...and rather that read about cosmic background radiation or relativity these people want to live like the world has not changed since the year 700.
It takes a lot of dedication and energy to choose that path of ignorance. People who make that choice need to be recognized that they are choosing to be limited in their thinking, and everything they say or believe should be appropriately framed.
"All nationalists have the power of not seeing resemblances between similar sets of facts. A British Tory will defend self-determination in Europe and oppose it in India with no feeling of inconsistency. Actions are held to be good or bad, not on their own merits, but according to who does them, and there is almost no kind of outrage — torture, the use of hostages, forced labour, mass deportations, imprisonment without trial, forgery, assassination, the bombing of civilians — which does not change its moral colour when it is committed by ‘our’ side.
(...)
Whether such deeds were reprehensible, or even whether they happened, was always decided according to political predilection.
The nationalist not only does not disapprove of atrocities committed by his own side, but he has a remarkable capacity for not even hearing about them."
(End-of-days types can substitute "rise up into the firmament" as necessary)
Also Obama had "minimal" 20 year contact with jeremiah wright, his crazy racist "uncle".
OMG, aren't right wing nuts hypocritical?
Of course not. He was a self-absorbed douchebag, but even he wasn't that delusional.
Just because you know crazy people, don't make you a crazy people.
http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/... (and if you don't want to, at least review the links to the documents from the organizations of which you speak to look at facts and not just ranting).
This is (of course) the diversion from my initial question, which is this:
why is it that even supposing leftish people are hanging out with "radical" "terrorist" "crazy" folks that rightish people don't like, why isn't this principle imposed in the exact same way on rightish politicians?
So again, if Ron Paul is hanging with Don Black, take contributions from him, etc. (more of a tie than with Obama and Ayers) why isn't he being roundly rejected by the right?
BTW since this was Obama's only executive experience prior to serving as the leader of the most important country in the world, why did the Libs suppress Obama's wonderful "achievement" during the election? Could this hold the answer:
[R]esults suggest that among the schools it supported, the Challenge had little impact on school improvement and student outcomes, with no statistically significant differences between Annenberg and non-Annenberg schools in rates of achievement gain, classroom behavior, student self-efficacy, and social competence.
-Wikipedia
Yes, Obama hardly knew his neighbor, terrorist William Ayers, who happened to launch Obama's political career from the living room of Ayers' and Dohrn's home.
OMG. Aren't Conservatives hypocritical?
I know facts are so foreign to liars like you, but here goes: Obama served as IL State legislator: 1997–2004, and later served as US Senator 2005-2008.
The Board of the Annenberg Foundation's Chicago Challenge was filled with Corporate leaders and shakers/movers of the Chicago area. Yet, to your widdle brain, it "brainwashed kids with Marxist ideas". ha ha What a maroon!
Incredibly poor logic going on here.
Amusing to watch, but loud, messy, and ultimately futile.
For future reference, any state with "democratic" in the name MUST be democratic, the same way any party with "socalist" in the name MUST be socialist. Oh, and for you out of towners, any party with the word "liberal" in it... same rules.
Plz circulate this memo to all the standard talking point recipients. Thank you.

Nazi = National SOCIALIST Party
What part of that is hard to understand?
Honestly. I can't decide if lefties deliberately misrepresent such things or if they really ARE that stupid."
And whoever gave this fool a 'point', same goes for you!
The failed conservative meme is wrong on taxes, wrong on marriage, wrong on immigration and wrong on torture. Now they must try unAmerican things like secession and rebellion which are also big fails. Sad to see a once loyal opposition turn slowly against their country.
Your swallowing of the gay teabagging swill from MSNBC is duly noted. Machel Mad Cow is splitting her sides.
* Wrong on massive taxes- resulting in loss of incentives for employers and entrepreneurs
* Wrong on massive debt- tantamount to generational theft in exchange for immediate political power
* Wrong on spending- will result in hyperinflation and economic stagnation
* Wrong on right to life- Obama even wants to snuff infants born alive in failed abortion attempts
* Wrong on marriage- even Obama claims to agree with the majority of folks on this one
* Wrong on race- Two words: Jeremiah Wright.
* Wrong on secret ballots- the fascist intimidation of workers by union thugs
* Wrong on "torture"- water boarding was approved by Pelosi et al, and produced life-saving results which are now being cynically surpressed by King Obama
* Wrong on "change"- Obamanomics a regression to the failed policies of the 1930's and 1970's
Marxism is wrong for America. Obama is their last gasp. Statist Libs are toast in 3. 2. 1...
Debt - Prove it. PS - conservates made much, much more debt than this. Take a look at the numbers the last on drummed up.
Spending - Prove it.
Right to Life - Absolute bullshit. Prove it. Cite a source other than a "all pregnant women are bad unless making children for jesus" group.
Race - Wright's an embarassment, but I think you'd have to be a particularly broken form of rightwing nutball to think that Obama's a racist as a result of that.
Secret Ballots - Man, that's such a backwards perspective it's nearly impossible to comprehend.
Torture - The US condemned Japanese military personell to death for their use of waterboarding in WW2. Cite "life saving results", because I've researched that stuff extensively and aside from some assertions by people who have a vested interest in not being tagged as war criminals, absolutely NO evidence has been provided. At all. Conversely, there are multiple interrogators who have received actionable intelligence from prisioners simply by talking to them. No electrodes to the genitalia necessary, no hanging people from the ceiling of a cell and beating the back of their legs until they embolize and bleed out, no raping of children with breaklights.
Change - You need to re-examine your history.
Marxism? Are you on crack?
As to 'statist', let's flip that around a bit:
For the last 7 years, anyone who has dared question the republican party orthodoxy regarding security, the war, Guantanimo, Abu Ghraib, wiretapping, New Orleans, PATRIOT act, TIA, 'free speech zones', and the myriad other big brother-style intrusions into daily life by the Bush junta were labelled as traitors, terrorist sympathizers, fired from jobs, physically assaulted or, in the case of a judge or some churchgoers, outright executed.
Aside from rampant fear about "obama's takin' our guns" and various other unsubstantiated bullshit, exactly what "statist policy" has obama implemented?
Share with the class, junior.
That is simply not true. Not a single Japanese soldier or officer was put to death for having used waterboarding as a standalone interrogation procedure.
Specifically, 21 Kempeitai were charged with war crimes specifically involving the torture of 57 civilians during the occupation. 8 were hanged, 3 were sent away for life.
I was somewhat inaccurate though. It was joint allied high command that had them put to death, not the US specifically. I suppose in the last 8 years, with the shedding of pretty much all allies, that makes such things "quaint".
According to Wiki, the Japanese arrested and tortured 57 civilians who had nothing to do with the sinking of the ships in question. 15 were killed. This was pure revenge and the perpetrators deserved capital punishment.
So this event was a little more than some water up the nose, doncha think Pops?
http://www.thewashingtonnote.com/archives/2009/...
Tax something- get less of it. Pretty basic common sense, borne out by empiracle evidence; study Adam Smith, Art Laffer, the last 200 years of U.S. economic history and human psychology 101.
Debt. Bush was no "Conservative" which is why the Republicans are wandering in the wilderness. But Obama's plans to bankrupt the U.S. in a sea of debt does make Bush look like a fiscal conservative.
Right to Life. Obama is a monster. Study what he did in Illinois to appease NARAL. Nurse Jill Stanek was there.
Race. Yes the Obama family completely disagreed with jeremiah wright. All. Those. Years.
Secret Ballot. Indeed it is difficult to comprehend why anyone would favor intimidation by union thugs.
Waterboarding. If it didn't save any lives then why is Obama censoring the evidence?
Change. The Hoover-Roosevelt punishment of the private sector and unpredictable meddling fixed the Depression ... after 12 years and a world war. Then Keynsian "economics" was disproved beyond all doubt by the stagflation of the Nixon-Carter era.
Marxism. Is government expanding their control over the means of production? How about these sectors to start: Finance, Energy, Health Care, Pharmaceuticals, Education. Socialism starts by taking your income by force, the next step is to take your existing property. Did you follow the AIG bonus confiscation, the Supreme Court's expansion of eminent domain in the Kelo case, the environmentalists and regulators who ignore the takings clause of the U.S. Constitution?
Bush was a disaster, but Obama's damage will take generations to fix.
As for Statism, where in the Constitution does the President have the right to take someone's private company and run it as he sees fit? Does the Constitution even matter anymore?
I know you think the Constitution was only teasing about the second amendment, but if only we can hang onto our freedom of speech then we can win back all our other rights eventually.
If you really need more "proof" that our country is seriously on the wrong track, then you haven't been paying attention.
You want torture? Try being trapped in a burning sky-scrapper 90 stories high thanks to a crash caused by Islamic thugs who used planes like human-filled missiles. There’s no escape except the choice of being incinerated to death or jumping out of a window.
That is torture.
You liberal pansies are so wrapped around the axle over the poor, hapless muslim terrorists. There’s a few things you overlooked: What got them a trip to GITMO and the knowlege of terrorist plots endangering thousands of people. I get your mindset, though: Leaving them to commit acts of terrorism is okay, using methods to extract that information, is “immoral”. That’s a good example of “moral relativism”.
The torture used against slimeballs like Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and Muhammed Hussein abu Zubaida proves you wrong, my dear. The information we got resulted in successfully thwarting innurmerable attacks. For a method that’s supposedly ‘unsuccessful’ we’ve sure had a lot of success.
Waterboarding Khalid Shaikh Mohammad Aborted 9/11-Style Attack on Los Angeles
http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.a...
Al-Qaeda scumbag Khalid Shaikh Mohammed. They dunked his smelly ass 183 times after his capture. They got lots of information out of him.
Some of his accomplishments include: planning the 9-11 attacks that killed 3,000 in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania, the first World Trade Center attack in 1993, the Operation Bojinka plot, an aborted 2002 attack on Los Angeles’ U.S. Bank Tower, the Bali nightclub bombings, the failed bombing of American Airlines Flight 63, the Millennium Plot, and the murder of Daniel Pearl.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/20...
Zayn Abidin Muhammed Hussein abu Zubaida, the first high-ranking al-Qaeda member captured after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, broke in less than a minute after he was subjected to the technique and began providing interrogators with information that led to the disruption of several planned attacks, said John Kiriakou, who served as a CIA interrogator in Pakistan.
The waterboarding of Abu Zubaydah got him to talk in less than 35 seconds. The technique, which critics say is torture, probably disrupted “dozens” of planned al-Qaida attacks, said John Kiriakou, a leader of the team that captured Zubaydah, a major al-Qaida figure.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/ar...
Until they were caught, they were in the process of killing as many infidels as possible for “Allah”.
I can’t seem to muster up a whole lot of angst over the CIA’s dunking of those cockholsters.
I don’t give a damn if they have to force feed terrorists an ocean full of water to get information. The tactic works. It saves American lives.
Goodness gracious, even the liberal WaPo acknowledges the success:
Specifically, interrogation with enhanced techniques “led to the discovery of a KSM plot, the ‘Second Wave,’ ‘to use East Asian operatives to crash a hijacked airliner into’ a building in Los Angeles.” KSM later acknowledged before a military commission at Guantanamo Bay that the target was the Library Tower, the tallest building on the West Coast. The memo explains that “information obtained from KSM also led to the capture of Riduan bin Isomuddin, better known as Hambali, and the discovery of the Guraba Cell, a 17-member Jemmah Islamiyah cell tasked with executing the ‘Second Wave.’ ” In other words, without enhanced interrogations, there could be a hole in the ground in Los Angeles to match the one in New York.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/ar...
I can hardly wait to witness the meltdown you’ll have along with the rest of the leftwing moonbat brigade, when you finally realize that Obama won’t prosecute anyone, because he can’t.
Aside from the fact that several members of the Democratic Party knew about the interrogation methods,
Obama knows that if he allows prosecution he will have to release the classified information gleaned from the interrogations, which will prove they were sucessful. Instead, he’ll try to politicize the intelligence because the truth would be inconvenient. The whole attempt to blame Bush and denounce what turned out to be productive interrogations, will blow up in his face.
Change-
Obama's tax/spend/bailout orgy will increase this country's deficit to the tune of 9 trillion dollars. He's kowtowing to the world's malefactors (Islamic extremists, included) to "improve our image". And he's deferred decisions on North Korea's missile launch and Iran's belligerence to the U.N. He’s a human bug light for despots, terrorists, and hate spewers. No wonder the Islamic extremists salivated for a ‘change’ they can believe in.
Marxism/Socialism
Let's start with THE ONE's background: He launched his career from the home of two domestic terrorists William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, and collaborated with radical groups like ACORN under the guise of “community organizing”. His friends, mentors, and supporters include Saul Alinsky and Frank marshall Davis.
His "bailouts" have resulted in governement control of banks, private industries, and corporations. Obama’s redistribution (”spreading”) of wealth is socialism/communism at its very core. When a government takes direct control of a country's economic infrastructure, THAT is socialism.
'Statist':
I'm calling bullshit on this: "For the last 7 years, anyone who has dared question the republican party orthodoxy regarding security, the war, Guantanimo, Abu Ghraib, wiretapping, New Orleans, PATRIOT act, TIA, 'free speech zones', and the myriad other big brother-style intrusions into daily life by the Bush junta were labelled as traitors, terrorist sympathizers, fired from jobs, physically assaulted or, in the case of a judge or some churchgoers, outright executed."
For 8 years during the Bush administration, we were inundated with vile, rancid, visceral BDS every single day from HuffPo, DailyKos, and the MSM. Years of gutter journalism, anti-American hatespeech, and a concerted effort on the part of the malevolent Left to eviscerate this country.
I'm an Iraq War veteran and retired Soldier. I heard plenty of "questioning", epithets, and denigrating insults from idiots like A.N.S.W.E.R., Code Pink, Harry Reid, John Kerry, Keith Olbermann, Nancy Pelosi, HuffPo, DailyKos, the New York Times, and 99.9% of Hollywood.
Talk about 'Big Brother': How about Obama’s thuggish behavior during the election cycle; squashing free speech, declaring any criticism of his policies to be “racist” and legal intimidation:
Fascist Obamabots threatened jail for his critics:
http://governor.mo.gov/cgi-bin/coranto/viewnews...
They also dug into the personal records of anyone who dared to confront his policies:
http://www.dispatchpolitics.com/live/content/lo...
The Patriot Act (wiretapping) The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court gave its stamp of approval:
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5hXoHcrFTHYJI...
FISA has been quite successful in thwarting terorist attacks on this country for the last seven years. The NSA is not interested in your phone sex, ok?
I know of no "church goers" who were ever "outright executed". That's another figment of your wild-assed liberal imagination.
Stay after class and write on the chalkboard 100 times: "Whatever is a asshat"
You may have forgotten...but history and the world is not going to.
it is interesting how you bring up a group of clandestine hijackers who operated outside the law and without any official state sponsorship with an official government that has used nuclear weapons on 200,000 civilians, napalm, agent orange, WP and bombed civilians cities and caused misery and suffering for millions of people...and continues to this very day to murder innocent people 5000 miles away from its capital.
He sees nazis behind every door, and probably hiding under his bed. And those are just the people who don’t agree with him 100%. The man’s paranoia level is skyhigh.
I was booted for supporting the Tea Parties, and critiquing the downward spiral of his site. It’s now comprised of a lot of backbiting targeted at people who take national security, Islamofascism, and the socialist Obamanation seriously.
Just what the leftwing needs; an Andrew Sullivan clone.
Enlighten yourself and embrace the diversity of this world. Negros are also human beings.
Racism thrives on exactly what you wrote. What if the hijackers were Christian or that they didn't have anything for your racist mind to single out? what are you going to do?
See the issue here is not just the hijackers. They are two sides of the story. Once your neo-Nazi government stops killing innocent people and subjecting others against their will, these things will no longer be an issue.
Don't talk to me about non-combatant. Your government nuked 200,000 people and continues to stand by this barbaric act of murder to this very day and killed over 1 million people in Iraq. The hijackers look like amateurs in front of your murderous government that killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people, with impunity. At least the hijackers found their death as well.
As to Nazi comparison, Arabs do not desire to run the world. Your government does with its over 200 military based stationed all over the planet. We are waiting for China to take action and put this arrogant violent racist government back to its place.
You need to learn that this planet does not belong to you alone and that oil in the Middle East is NOT your property.
Once CJ took the nose dive off the edge of the cliff, I read less and less and less.
Recently his comment section has become nothing more than an "Amen Chorus" composed of his mindless minions nodding away in agreement with him.
CJ has been pretty successful in banishing anyone who deigns to express an opposing opinion.
Oh well, there are lots of great sites out there with better content, more humor, and less vitriol for the people who choose to comment.
I enjoy places like Ace of Spades, Gateway Pundit, Flopping Aces, Small Dead Animals, Hot Air, Doug Ross, and InstaPundit.
If you're reading this Charles, and we both know you are, I'm extending my middle finger as a sign of my innermost affection for you and your band of flying monkeys.
PS - Tell Sharmuta and Killgore Trout I said "Hi"
Ace is a lot of fun, too. Instapundit, PJTV, well, I'm staying away from them. Big Hollywood smokes PJTV, as does Breitbart's B-Cast.
These modern-day neo-Nazis regard every other political or economical system out there as inferior and not worthy of respect. They just don't believe in learning from others or embracing our diverse world. They act like the Gods of this planet.
For America to save itself from herself, it needs to break away from these arrogant fascists and split the country into 2, for once and all...and to take away the weapons of mass-murder from the right-wingers, of course. Next thing you know, they will attack to
Government (The Founding Fathers were genius. Very possibly the best collection of rulers in one place at one time that has ever existed. Show me another group of leaders as able.)
Education (well, not so much, but we are aware that if you don't have the basics you don't have anything. And we're aware that gov't messes things up. And that we had better literacy rates before public schooling.)
War (War is a series of catastrophes until victory. Yes, we make mistakes, but clearly we do know better than people who want to smooch up to insane dictators.)
Peace (Some things are relatively simple. You want peace? Prepare for war. Nothings more expensive than the second-best army.)
Religion? (Well, he's not a 'religion', He is Jesus the Christ the Creator of the Universe. And yes, there is a lot of proof of that.)
Look. Some things are fairly simple. Some require a bit of understanding, and then they are simple. I'm not going to be falsely modest. I can add 2 + 2 and get 4. Other things are more complex, but what you've listed is generally fairly basic stuff.
I'm the 42 year old son of an evangelical minister. Even he would argue that there is no proof, but rather that belief is based in faith.
I have a little theological question for you, based on 2nd Peter 3:8-10, the theologically accepted "A day is like a thousand years..." premise. If indeed, a thousand years is but a day to god, then how has his personality and dogma changed so much in the past seven days (christian timeline of creation>old testament(5k yrs)>new testament>present time(2k yrs)? How has god gone from having the temperment, rigidity and vengeful nature of the old testament to peacefully accepting what THE CHURCH has made of his worship, and the secular course of the planet in only seven days?
No one actually knows. No one. We're human, incapable of actually knowing. There is fact and there is faith, don't mistake one for the other.
Right wingers HAVE found the ultimate truth. The ultimate truth is that individuals have a better understanding of what their needs and desires are, and how to achieve them, than the government does. We believe in freedom, and empowering individuals to do great things, not surpressing them with overtaxation and overregulation. We believe in getting the government out of your way, and keeping them from stealing your hard-earned wages. That is the basis for the "American Dream" which has enabled poor immigrants from foreign lands to create lives for themselves unimaginable in their native countries, where governments stifled their aspirations.
We believe our economic system is best because history has proven it to be...in a little over 200 years of existence, our country has eclipsed every other country in the world: our poorest people still live a better life than the middle class in many countries. Our political and economical system that you despise distributes financial aid to countries around the globe, yet we receive NONE from other countries. Our development of technologies and medicines has surpassed every other country. Our great military that you despise has come to the aid and protection of other countries around the world. We developed and funded the UN, and are one of the only countries that seems to take this ridiculous organization seriously and adhere to its rules, even though most of its rules are anti-American.
Nazis were socialists. We led the fight in defeating them, while other socialists enabled and surrendered to them. The fascists are the left-wing socialists, like yourself. Unfortunately, most of them - like you - have chosen not to burdon yourselves with inconveniences like facts.
I100 years ago, the people from the great south who prevented little blacks kids from sharing the same schools as white kids also believed in the same freedom you write about. It is not freedom, it is YOUR freedom to subject others and to inflict suffering on them for your own selfish benefit.
Taxes only bother the neo-Nazis when they are spent on helping the lives of poor children (especially when they are black) but it doesn't bother them when they are spent on armies that kill and destroy.
The rest of your post about the hyped up "American dream" is nothing more than US government propaganda a-la Nazism (aka German dream).
How come the native Indians continue to live the "American nightmare"?
A military that is used to colonize and subject millions of people against their will is not a great military. It may be a successful and a powerful military like the Nazis military was, but it definitely is a tool of oppression and injustice. All you have to do is ask its victims.
The US government never took the UN seriously, Please. Some democrats have tried but the neo-Nazis of 21st century would have none of it.
says the bigot with no spelling or syntax skills. >sigh<
I presume it stems from the ignorance of someone who has never ventured to read the "Left Blogosphere."
If there is a valid criticism against the Left, it pertains to lack of discipline. Where the Right has excelled by following Reagan's dictim of "criticize no Republican," getting the Left to agree on anything is like herding cats.
Try going to Malkin's site, for instance, and disagreeing with the pro-life consensus there. Be prepared to be called a eugenecist and nazi.
Just because the left does it as well, doesn't make it ok for the right to do it. Many of the right leaning blogs are increasingly every bit as much in 'lock step' as those on the left. It's a disturbing trend.
Apparently Spencer has not heard of the Dominationists.
"Dominion Theology is a grouping of theological systems with the common belief that society should be governed exclusively by the law of God as codified in the Bible, to the exclusion of secular law." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominion_Theology
"Dominionism describes, in several distinct ways, a tendency among some conservative politically-active Christians, especially in the United States of America, to seek influence or control over secular civil government through political action—aiming either at a nation governed by Christians, or a nation governed by a conservative Christian understanding of biblical law." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominionism
See also http://www.theocracywatch.org/biblical_law2.htm
That's because they're called DOMINIONISTS not DOMINATIONISTS.
I don't pay any attention to the creationist issue. That's up to the states in question, we don't have to contend with that issue in this state (WA) and nothing Johnson says or writes will make any other difference in any other states.
His battle with the Dutch people and loggers seems like a great deal of Sturm and Drang about nothing. Again, what Johnson thinks about what these people are doing in that neck of the woods will have precisely zero impact.
Comment on it?
Sure.
Fixate on it?
A waste of ascii.
But kicking people who support you in the balls by banning them for no apparent reason, and then failing to respond to their politely asked question as to why, w/o any warning, he would do that; speaks to an over-arching arrogance that now seems to permeate everything he does.
"[Clausen] has sent dozens of emails making vague threats about suing me for telling the truth about the Vlaams Belang."
Charles lies.
I didn't send dozens of emails. I did send something like five. around 1½ year ago. Polite emails of the style I'd send friends asking them to stop making fools of themselves, for what he was doing was malign and damaging. Charles never responded to any of them, but at least now I know that he read them.
Now, Charles obviously doesn't like that I hold Nazism to be utterly foolish left-wing crap. How is he going to handle that?
A nut case is a nut case. I don't care what they pretend to be, the truth will always be revealed.
the terrorist only about 1% support the terrorist with money worldwide out of 1,6 billion muslim worldwide. Only about 1% of 1% acturality engauge in terrprist acts worldwide. It seem like the US government act like terrorist oversea like how many muslim have our military personal rape and murder.
Now our new prisident is doing than very brave act to talk to the Muslim Brotherhood(50% of then are women also) to ended bush fail crusade against Islam.
Never heard of them. I mean never and I spend wayyyy too much time on the internet and at church. Not that they aren't around somewhere, but I have never come across the label or definition.
Frankly, given a close read of The Bible (and esp. the New Testament) and The Koran, and knowing a little about how they are taught, Islam makes me a lot more nervous. Also, I don't think we want to try to confuse our classically liberal Constitutional government with Sharia. The Islamists sure don't. It's a true case of 'Give me liberty or give me death.'
Christianity comes from the Middle East by the way, not from Texas or Rome. Most Arabs today in the Middle East were actually Christians in the past but they have decided that they needed another one.
Why don't you get your own religion to begin with and stop stealing from the Middle East.
Did you think Jesus was some racist whiteman from Texas that couldn't tolerate the sight of little black kids playing with white kids? Jesus was a middle eastern man born where Palestinians live today, the same people that you live to oppress and violate their rights by arming their conquerors.
Please.
Christianity is OUR religion, NOT yours. Get your own and leave the Middle East alone.
Under sharia men have the right to beat women, women have one-third the legal power of men, a woman who is raped must have three male witnesses on her side, ad nauseum.
It is a misogynistic kangaroo law which treats women like chattel instead of human beings, and it is now being used to shackle women in Britain as well as Saudi Arabia.
Sharia shares a great deal with Jewish law.
Sharia with its many interpretations have given women the right to divorce, to own property and to inherent, 1400 years ago.
Few Muslim countries have already elected women head of states: Pakistan, Indonesia and Turkey.......yet in the US, no woman president. Can you explain why?
As to rape, by the Pentagon (the tool of oppression and colonialism) own records, there were 3000 rapes in 2006 in the military and that 80% of soldiers convicted of rape get honorable discharges (meaning: sexual assault is not reported on their records).
This is the same military that claims it is "freeing Afghani" women. What a load of BS.
What are your thoughts on this, anti-semite?
This is why all muslims go straight to hell where they take turns sucking pigshit off allah's dick
P.S. I love the creationists below whining how they are being oppressed by Chuckles. Dood.
So what if Arabs were Christians? They would still never become your negros. Never.
History is taking notes.
Thanks for the 2 unwinnable wars and the international economic collapse.Dont forget to tell your kids who you voted for when they ask what happened!
News FLASH we won in Iraq unless Comrade Obama drops the ball
dont forget to tell your kids Comrade Obama stole their wealth and their kids wealth and that you voted for his marxist ass ....
Unless you're going to argue that the Iraq War ended with the official dissolution of the Hussein regime, when Saddam went into hiding and the coalition overtook Baghdad (which, actually, is a point where we'd agree), and that every single day we've been there since then has been as an unofficial police force, then you've got no leg to stand on.
The only reason we have to stay in Iraq if the war is over and we've won is because we want to make it a colony. Are you advocating for that?
But perhaps most damning to your statement is one of Hitler's own: "Our adopted term 'Socialist' has nothing to do with Marxian Socialism. Marxism is anti-property; true Socialism is not." Hitler sought to redefine the idea of what socialism is, turning it from an anti-conservative movement to an anti-leftist one.
Exactly.
"All banks are getting campaign payback."
It would seem so. Obama got more private sector support than any candidate before him. That generates gratitude, and a willingness to provide reciprocal help. Not good.
"There will be big money in it for us to sell to other countries. Green Tech if done right will advance the human condition. We should not have to pay for it."
Here in Denmark we're making billions off it already. Wasting billions on 'bailing' banks and other financial institutions from their misadventures doesn't get the US any nearer to developing more Green Tech. On the contrary, it draws all kinds of resources *away* from Green Tech and other productive activity.
For now, I'm getting concerned about what will happen to the dollar as such.
By shutting out diversity of opinion he has lost all credibility.

1) The light is wrong. The two face in the foreground have light from the left, as on a vaguely sunny day, while the demonstration in the background has diffuse light as if overcast.
2) The context is wrong. The background mob would probably love to chase away the two persons in the foreground ('fascists') - and noone in their right minds would pose smilingly in front of an Antifa demonstration the way they do.
Due dilligence is not what Charles does best.
Holy cow - I'm gobsmacked.
Next someone will tell me the Rotweiler has turned into an Obama fan.
Ronald Reagan did NOT reduce the size of government; that was just a claim that was made because, well, he was going up against incoherent idiots like Mondale and Carter. In fact, Reagan dramatically INCREASED the size of government, probably unnecessarily, under the guise of defending against the USSR. The problem was that even the most conservative estimates had the Soviet Union crumbling by the mid-1990s; and, in fact, Gorbachev probably prolonged its existence with that good ol' "Nyet" doctrine.
Nor did Bill Clinton shrink the size of government. DOMA imposed a federal restriction on religions like the Unitarians and UCCs who wished to perform same-sex marriages. The Communications Decency Act actually increased speech regulations more than anything this side of the USA PATRIOT Act. He also introduced SCHIP and created AmeriCorps. So how exactly did that reduce the size of government?
Finally, you encourage people to read economics (I presume you mean "study") before voting. I couldn't agree more. Perhaps you should heed that advice yourself, though. Pure, unregulated capitalism is absolutely insane; that's what kept Chile in the dark ages for decades -- remember, Pinochet wanted "to make Chile not a nation of proletarians, but a nation of proprietors," based solely on a complete free-market economy. When you have that kind of economic anarchy, however, it becomes just as repressive as the government repression you seek to escape; when corporate conglomerates can take over every business in town, you lose the sense of variety that the truly competitive free market inherently needs to survive. The president who probably best understood this was, in fact, a Republican: Theodore Roosevelt. So perhaps, Mr. Free, you might want to take a look at both history and economics before declaring your unrelenting support for free-market anarchy -- unless, of course, you approve of living in a plutocracy.
"If creationism isn't true, then the Book of Genesis lied. And all it takes is one lie for the Bible to be disproven as the word of God. And if the Bible is not the word of God, then the Jews are not the Chosen People. In fact, for claiming that they are the Chosen People of the Supreme Ruler of the Universe, they would have to be the most dishonest and arrogant people in the world."
Now, we all know that the neoconservative movement depends heavily on the support of the American evangelical christian community, and evangelical christians are basically simple-minded people who live in a bubble of delusion. By pricking this bubble with regard to creatonism, you are undermining their belief system and ensuring that the neoconservative movement will suffer as evangelical christianity declines.
Given the degree of support which you have received in the past from the neoconservative community, I am surprised at your seeming eagerness to turn against Israel in its time of greatest need. When did you get it into your head that you're so important now that you can abandon your friends?
Of course, evangelicals believe that at the "End Times", Jews will either be converted to followers of Jesus or will be thrown into a lake of sulfur. Were I Jewish, I think I'd take the anti-creationist over the guy who wants to see me convert or perish.
As for the fall of the neoconservative apparat, perhaps you are and your evangelical friends might shed a tear, but most of us will be celebrating. The neocon ideas, sounded as good on paper as did our soldiers being welcomed with flowers in Iraq... and both of these enjoyed similar fates when faced with reality.
The truth is that in the interest of furthering US national interests (whose alleged ties to evangelical interests are only coincidental), the neocon plots have actually set our interests back decades. We now face a resurgent Iran whose primary regional counterweight (Iraq) is now in the hands of politicians and clerics much more sympathetic to the Iranian cause. Meanwhile, while trying to make oil fields safe for democracy, we allowed the Taliban to pour into Pakistan, regroup, and now threaten the stability of a Muslim country that actually *does* have weapons of mass destruction. Meanwhile, our international adventurism has cost us a pretty penny-- not to mention the compromise of our humanity in the form of a pervasive program of torture approved from the top-- and the only thing it's reaped is more intense global hatred for us.
So yeah, R.I.P. neocon movement. Better yet, start spinning in your grave.
If you must watch the Friday night coliseum slaughters, Amazon Blogathons, or check for the impending meltdown -- use a different IP address.
I'm taking that with a grain of salt. Or two...
Probably the best response to Chas and his 'fascist' witch-hunt is to ridicule fascism. Nazism too, now we're at it. Fascism was at least a somewhat consistent, if stupid, attempt to organize society in a novel way. Nazism was brutal opportunism taken to the max. But at least they had a better uniform designer than did the Italians. I think someone famous was behind the Nazi uniforms.
Someone mentioned Jonah Goldberg and his book "Liberal Fascism". While I think Goldberg takes some excessive stabs at Hollywood etc., his basic narrative is sound, and sets the whole origin of Italian fascism (in particular) in its relevant historical perspective, closely related to Soviet Communism.
Telling the world just how stupid fascism is, in all its variations, is a service to mankind.
It might make Charles Johnson look silly, too, but that's just a side effect.
This article is less about reporting than supporting Johnson. Just look at the last paragraph, "LGF is his site, and if it has to name names and shame the people who are debasing the movement against extremist Islam, he’ll do it." The reporter doesn't say Johnson believes he'll do whatever he is decides to do, but that there are debased people that Johnson will name and shame.
I say we should go in and finish the job that pussy
Geo Washington failed to do and wipe out the Royals.
Capitalism is not pretty, but it's better than all the alternatives. So regrettable as it may be to say a degree of oversight and regulation to keep very bad things from happening is a good idea. The best use of social programs and the like is to buffer society against the troubles that are caused when the likes of AIG, GM, or other firms go belly-up. Retraining and recasting our citizens to the new demands of the marketplace.
That's what I see as the maximal benefit of those social programs and support structures.
When Geert Wilders said the Qu'ran should be banned (once, years ago) he wasn't seriously calling to ban the Qu'ran, but only making a point that under the Netherlands CURRENT hate speech laws, it should be banned. Geert Wilders was merely pointing out the fallacy of allowing religion to take precedent over the current laws of the land.
The only question is whether Charles Johnson's libelous claims come from ignorance or malice.
Yes, the left-blogs are sewers of bad language.
It is simply not true that left-blogs are more open than right-blogs. Leftblogs shut down conservative comments with an iron fist. I know. Been there done that.
Joe Romm's blog a ThinkProgress site? Post things that refute the Joe Romm view on global warming and your comments will go into a black hole, never to be seen. Kos? banned for defending anything wrt Bush. Black hole. DU? Banned if you say anything remotely normal and not insanely bizarrely hyper-partisan. And so it goes.
Usually liberals dont think this censorship is happening on left-blogs because it doesnt happen to them - its like whites thinking racism doesnt exist, I guess.
"Robert Spencer has never once spoken in favour of deporting Muslims for being Muslims, or banning the Qu'ran. Furthermore, he has dissected every single one of Charles Johnson's baseless claims against him and refuted them point by point."
The truth is in the last few LGF threads Robert Spencer posted in he claimed that he had no idea Fjordman advocated mass deportations of Muslims. In doing so, he was admitting that he didn't do any research at all into his new pal's well known agenda.
Then again he could fault Spencer for not actually reading any of Fjordy's 10,000 word essays. Djude is the worst writer ever. It takes him 20 pages of blah blah blah to say "put em all on rail cars and get rid of them!"
Charles Johnson’s disenchantment with a movement he did much to create is more likely a function of his contrary nature than his active conscience, but it would be ungracious to pry overmuch.
Then johnson crys like a baby and says this.
Apparently Treviño doesn’t think it’s “ungracious” to imply that I don’t have an “active conscience.”
What's the matter johnson don't you understand English, you really are a dumb ass.Read it again you silly little boy.
This video puts him in his place,He's recently been caught out posting a fake photograph on his site.
This is worth a look...

The liberals used to call that stuff McCarthyism. Are some forms of McCarthyism okay now?
The sad thing is he really did think he could ride the tiger of fundamentalist hate groups. There are many reasons why right wingers started attacking Islamic fundamentalists, but the biggest reason is because they are the competition. Christian Fundamentalists look at the middle east in jealousy, wondering why they can't have suicide bombers too (this sentiment was actually expressed by a fundie, I believe in the movie "Jesus Camp").
But this past week I decided to check it out again, and wow, the thought that came to mind was "what happened to Charles Johnson?" So I Googled that phrase, and ended up at this page. That's some dark and ugly stuff going on at LGF. I also noticed a few other items:
* He used to display the site access stats. Not anymore. Maybe because readership is way, way down?
* Lots more advertising, and it's more generic stuff (as opposed to ads that advertisers pay for to get onto your site in particular). This too seems to indicate that the popularity of LGF is way off what it used to be.
Charles is not openly gay. However, he if he was, things would be a lot clearer for the people who are scratching their heads as to why he 'flipped'.
Johnson's later-day attacks on 'creationists' etc, is his attack-by-proxy against the religious forces he views as denying gay rights. His sudden interest in Christians and creationism, time wise, aligns with the rise of the gay-marriage debate on the national (& international) stage.
Johnson's original focus upon radical Islam was sparked by similar concerns (for him personally) about Islamism's threat to liberal democratic values (which of course, include gay rights).
When you approach Johnson's changing views from this vantage point, there is consistency in his motivation.
