  • If oil companies really did want to become "green" and prepare themselves for a change of energy lifestyle, that would be great. But these companies are still greenwashing- they are just trying to put out a green image so that the public feels better about their energy consumption. The money that oil companies put into these advertisements and into Congress so that clean energy bills are not passed could be used to successfully move to clean energy rather than a green energy facade. While a lot of clean energy solutions will come from research and development, you first need the support of your government and right now we are not getting it. You can see how much money your congressman accepts from oil companies at oilchangeusa.org.
