The Washington Independent: Biden Links Future Terrorism to McCain’s Failures

  • knarahs · 1 year ago
How can Mr. Biden predict that any "future" terrorism will be Senator McCain's fault? Excuse me - the last terrorism was caused by the inadequacies of the Clinton DEMOCRAT administration (at the same time Senator Biden was developing our foreign policy), which left the Republican administration to clean up its mess. Senator McCain is one of 532 Congressman running this country - how does he have SO MUCH power that he can cause "future" terrorism. If he IS so almight - then he is definitely the guy we want in the White House. Oh, that's just Joe!!

That is after she is visited by Jesus on Christmas day. She will follow the Northern star to his location.

Seems like Biden is trying to outflank McCain on the right.

Biden seems to have a short memory about his critical role - as Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee - in the Senate giving Bush pre-authorizing to invade Iraq. He was a cheerleader of the war that he is now trying to pin on McCain. I wonder if the mainstream media will take him to task for his inconsistency (or hypocrisy in my opinion).

Are you saying McCain was not in support of the war but Biden was? PLEASE!!

My comment was about Biden's hypocrisy. Like his criticizing Palin on the bridge when he and Obama voted for it, diverting funds that would have gone to Katrina relief. Biden is also big into earmarks - over 100 of them this year alone costing hundreds of millions of dollars.

As for McCain, his record is what it is - it hasn't changed about Iraq. I was against invading Iraq, but can't say that McCain is being hypocritical one this point.

He is doing his job - throwing doubt on McCain - which is more than Sarah Palin is doing for her candidate...rather she could be the assistant VP candidate for Obama. Her selection has done more for the Obama ticket that even Joe Biden could.

What an idiot! Tough to support this loose cannon.

But you supported the Republicans when they constantly tried to link terrorism to the Democrats I assume?

Don't worry, we know you are supporting McLame anyway.

"the last terrorism was caused by the inadequacies of the Clinton DEMOCRAT administration"

EXCUSE ME -- the last terrorism was caused by George W. Bush IGNORING the report "Bin Laden determined to attack US" -- and which attack gave the neocons in this adminstration a convenient excuse to execute their plan of attacking Iraq by linking Sadam Hussein to al Quida - falsely.

Joe Biden is a spineless wimp, and he's embarrased to go pimping for Biden.

    B. Hussein Obama will be the terrorists best friend!

Maybe not terrorist attacks but another misguided war is a guarantee.

The only messed that got cleaned up was our surplus when Bush and the Republicans came in power. Come on, we're not stupid. We NOW know that Iraq a) was not responsible for 9-11 and b) had no weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). So, what mess was cleaned up really? Are we safer now? Have we caught Osama Bin Laden after 7 years of warring? What have the Bush administration done with an approval rating worse than ever? The guy didn't even attend his own party's convention this year supposedly to "manage" the crisis of hurricanes in southern U.S. Keep in mind Bush was cutting birthday cake with McCain when Katrina was leveling the South.

Finally, does anyone recall a document titled "Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US?" The White House says the brief was not specific enough to warn of 9/11. Democrats say it should have prompted more vigorous action.

According to the Bush Administration, the brief "was no indication of a terrorist threat. There was not a time and place of an attack," Bush said at Fort Hood in Texas, where he prayed with troops on Easter Sunday. "It said Osama bin Laden had designs on America. Well, I knew that. What I wanted to know was, is there anything specifically going to take place in America that we needed to react to?"

--- This was taken from USATODAY article: http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/executi...

With regards to McCain, he still don't get it that the War in Iraq was totally created by the Bush administration. It's the wrong war and surge or no surge, victory or not, we should not be there in the first place.

How could we go from a war in Afganistan, where Osama and his terrorist buddies are sheltered and have refuge along the borders of Afganistan and Pakistan, to a war in Iraq?
  • dan · 1 year ago
What else can Biden say...he voted for the war and against the surge. It seems to me that is what you do when you want to lose. The only thing else one could do is vote against funding the troops and Obama did that.

So Joe is now supporting Obama's foreign policy? You know...where you bomb your allies, chat with your enemies and ignore the tiny countries like Iran, because they don't pose a threat.

I don't think Palin has anything to worry about in the debates. She could just stand there and smile as Biden self destructs with his ignorant rambling.
