Pawlenty: Palin’s More Qualified Than Obama
If you cant or wont get a voter id card you are probably not informed enough to vote.
ACORN has actually registered. Maybe the fake voters can go get a toxic loan to boot. Groups like this make Chicago proud of its electoral history. Let's see the phone records to the 1.3 million new voters.
I believe the question becomes ... who wants to vote for a candidate who is apparently relying on felon and irresponsible homeless people votes to win an election???
Think about it, dolt.
Where is the GOP connection to this raid? The article's author made the allegation but failed to substantiate it.
Voter fraud, especially those committed by ACORN, has lead to the cemeteries emptying out every election day and the zombies voting (in alphabetical order) in IL, MI, and LA - should AZ join that trend? Why has this author shown no outrage over that; but seems to shill instead for the DNC?
Just becuase the author doesn't do his job investigating, does not mean that Republcian are not behind this. They are.
Why should fraud, on any level, be tolerated? Isn't ONE illegally cast vote infringing on our fundamental pursuit of freedom?
Any efforts to ferret out fraud and corruption is described as persecution. ... "Woe is me"!
Bottom Line: Democrats need convicted felons, irresponsible homeless folks, non tax payers and low IQ government subsidy mooches voting en masse to have a chance of winning any election.
Carry this to the logical conclusion ... do we want these bottom feeder panderers on office??
Methinks NOT!
In addition, one can hardly state that the RNC is free from corruption in this matter. So it would be fair to say that perhaps someone should take a more careful look at what the RNC is doing policing someone else's activities? Perhaps that's a much more interesting question.
We can get to the moon and beyond, with a computer compatable to an IBM 286 (remember?) but cannot lock in a system (likes the banks) that detects tampering. I am confident that the slip o f paper I get from the ATM is accurate to the penny for my deposit, withdrawal and balance of my account. Why can't we use such a 'controlled' system for voting? That's right, give all voters a credit card for voting....by the time the fixers figure out how to manipulate that system, the count will be over and the next president can take office knowing he won rather than ripped off the public.
It's also OK to contribute to voter fraud since "...the numbers of illegitimate registrations [are] found tiny in comparison to the 1.3 million valid new registrations...".
It's also OK because no one has "...presented any evidence that these duplicate or false registrations have any impact whatsoever on the validity of the vote."
Are you out of your mind? I assume the dog ate your homework, too. You are missing the key words in your article: DUPLICATE, FALSE, ILLEGITIMATE.
It seems people like you are always willing to bypass rules and regulations with the "no harm, no foul" defense. And of course you have to throw in the "poor and minority voters" angle. Very touching.
I say we take the vote away from the Republicans-they don't deserve the privelege. Send 'em off to somewhere like Mars, with a bottle of O2 to fight over. And anyone else who thinks they can mess with our Constitution.
I am disinclined to believe anything a republican says. Proven liars, nearly all. You party apparatchiks will always be sheep, doing whatever the TV and your party-liners tell you. I don't want anymore of your lies and disregard for law and fact. Go live in China, or Nigeria, of Darfur. Maybe three or four generations down the line you'll figure out just how precious the popular voice really is.
You lot cry foul over this, but allow your usurper leader to murder tens of thousands of people, lie to the nation, bankrupt us all, and then go so far as to start stealing our homes. You say the dems forced this? Where have you been the last 10 years, pal?
It will be a great day for America when BOTH sides wake up and realize, this party thing should be abolished!!!
And for one minute let's be realistic on the impact that this *could* have if left undiscovered, and fully exploited, only the tightest of races could *possibly* see an impact. Given the very liberal leanings of ACORN, and the very conservative leanings of Nevada, I think we're safe from what abuses could take place there. . . The GOPs raid is motivated out of spite, nothing more. . .
And the Republicans are getting desperate.
R.I.P. Free-market conservatism (1980-2008)
I think thats backwards. Dem's are the smarter bunch who have the education and the more open outlook on life. Look at the Repubs and tell me what you see?
I see a lot of backwoods hillbillys who need to step into the 21st century. Its time for them to stop being afraid of things like Gay people and start acting like adults. Times change, learn to accept the fact. Don't claim that man doesn't have anything to due with climate change, don't tell me you need to have a gun on you at all times because you are afraid of that 1 in a million chance you might be mugged in the middle of a field. Don't tell me that the earth is 6000 years old and dinosaur bones were planted by 'God'. Its rubbish and has no meaning to the USA. Accept that we all have to change and need to stop living in the past. The republicans are not go forward they are going backwards!
Meanwhile, my hard-working neighbors are falling through the cracks.
I could win an election too if i registered all my close friends 15 times.
For the first time in my adult life, I am ashamed of my country.
How "we" stop demanding that the "uneducated" from "the other side" know "our side" as intimately as "we do." How about when there are clear indications as to the subgroup responsible, "we" educate those "uneducated masses who are clearly confused" and define which aspects of the Republican Party are likely the target of the attack, as opposed to just abdicating responsibility to those we know haven't the knowledge? Nahh. . .. that would be sensible.
As I noted in my post yesterday, Republicans have been aggressively attacking ACORN for alleged voter fraud, and using any false or erroneous registrations submitted by the group to claim there’s a problem of widespread voter fraud that’s tainting the elections.
But not only are the numbers of illegitimate registrations found tiny in comparison to the 1.3 million valid new registrations the group has signed up, but neither the Nevada GOP, nor anyone else, has presented any evidence that these duplicate or false registrations have any impact whatsoever on the validity of the vote.
1. If any fraud is found on either side of the fence, it needs to be investigated and thoroughly.
2. To ask whether fraudulent registrations have any effect on the vote is beyond credulity. What kind of credibility can a person who waves aside fraud by stating it won't have any effect? If it wouldn't have any effect, then fraudulent registrations likely wouldn't happen.
This is still 10 times *worse* than the rate of error shown in ACORNS error rate . . . So. . . it looks like you're right, ACORN is having an effect. A very positive one for all political parties. The more accurate the voter registration, the more accurate the elections. Go ACORN!
American capitalism seems to require a permanent underclass, people who live on the margins, who will always be viewed with contempt and suspicion, just to keep the working classes slaving away to provide plenty of profit for those at the top. But in most cases, the only difference between you and someone on welfare is a pink slip. And there are plenty more of those on the way.
Next time try not to be so obvious. You loose credibility that way.
"But not only are the numbers of illegitimate registrations found tiny in comparison to the 1.3 million valid new registrations the group has signed up, but neither the Nevada GOP, nor anyone else, has presented any evidence that these duplicate or false registrations have any impact whatsoever on the validity of the vote"
I get it, as long as you are the only one breaking the law among law abiders, and it's not showing up as having an effect then it's justified..Nice logic sweetheart
If you've ever wondered "What is a community organizer?", the answer is ACORN!
And this qualifies one to be President of the United States?
If you think there was NO INTENT then PLEASE explain to me how ONE name can be registered SIX times with SIX different phone numbers and SIX different social security numbers. Because I've never filled out a paper 6 times because i didnt remember previously doing it. And i certainly dont have six phone numbers to use
So, as I see it, the real problem with the bogus registration forms has to do with overtaxing elections officials who are already working feverishly (I hope) to process legitimate registration forms. That's unfortunate. But to know that 1.3 million at-risk Americans may participate in the voting process as a result of ACORN's work is heart-warming.
Now, about the GOP lying and cheating -- it's called election fraud. Besides GOP operatives like Sproul above, more recently there is shocking news that the former AG Gonzalez fired one or more US attorney generals for NOT going forward with filing bogus cases of voter fraud (e.g., Iglesias in New Mexico for one)? The point is really Republicans know the more registered Democratic-leaning voters there are, the more likely their candidate will lose the election. So they push for suppression -- and what's worse they target the weakest in our society or misuse judicial power when possible to crush their opponents, while wearing or waving the American flag! It's shameful.
And now we have this drama being carried out with the hope of swaying the good people of Nevada to vote against Democrats. These tactics have taken our nation to the edge of an abyss and still paranoid party hacks can't help themselves. Republicans have controlled the White House for far too long. And they fight to retain that power, which they have sorely abused. Their claims against Democrats are as false as their claims about Iraq, 9-11, and weapons of mass destruction.
HA HA ARE YOU INSANE? HOW MANY MONICA RAYS EXIST WITH THE SAME EXACT SIGNATURE IN LAS VEGAS??????????????
"Today's raid by the Secretary of State's Office is a stunt that serves no useful purpose other than discredit our work registering Nevadans and distracting us from the important work ahead of getting every eligible voter to the polls."
ACORN is the nation's largest community organization of low- and moderate-income families, with over 400,000 member families across the country. Since 1970, *ACORN* has taken action and won victories on such issues as better housing, living wages for low-wage workers, more investment in our communities, and better public schools.

Don't we hear this every single solitary election? And didn't Bush win (twice) as a result of cunning voter fraud, assisted well, of course, by Jeb Bush, Governor of Florida who threw the fraud case in Florida out of the Supreme Court in 2004, and Bush's first cousin who ran the political news division of FOX and became the only network to claim Bush won in 2000?
As an American, voter fraud infuriates me - from the angle of any party. Soon, we'll be like the third world nations who have to deploy militia to protect voting booths.
UGH.
To Ned - You contridict yourself by saying Dems are more open minded, then narrow your focus on Repubs and pigeon hole them as if they are a flock of sheep mindless and stupid, great example as to the hypocritical thinking of Democrats overall.
Jared - The point here is not to cause any regional voter distortion, or at least enough to cause a regional recount and disaster. The goal of the Democrats in this tactic is the "National" count. Remember the argument for Gore - Won the popular vote, but lost the electorate. 500 here, 700 there, it adds up when your talking the entire country.
Windrider - You miss the entire point. Don't give us the ghetto story....I came from humble means, joined the military for the sole purpose of getting money for college and now have a six figure income due to my HARD WORK. Social stratification has been a part of our history forever, and you act as if you can or should be their savior. I would be disturbed as well if I saw government handouts being used by people enjoying many things those of us trying to live responsibly cannot. If your feeling so righteous, have you gone down and hired some of these folks since you think they are so capable? I think we all know the answer to that.....
Bribes - You just haven't been paying attention have you. The same person registering 10 times with the same signature goes a bit beyond intent, in my book and especially from a legal description. These unfortunate saps that someone talked into this will probably be spending alot of time behind bars instead of the real culprits higher up. If you understand the number of legal "Binds" ACORN finds themselves in, they have known for a good bit of time they either needed a "Refresher" course for their volunteers, OR needed to change the wya they conduct business. They have done neither, only obsolved themselves from any knowledge and left those poor folks out to dry. NICE. Remember my comment on ethics above? Plays into this nicely.....
Ed - Since your such a bleeding heart.....maybe we should find one of those folks to do your job for have the price....WAIT! you say, they don't know how to do my job nor can do it as well.....well, we have a conundrum don't we?! Ed Life lesson for you. It's not the number of times you fall down, it's the number of time you get up. Any one can succeed if the effort is there.
Kat - Your a living testament to the reason California is in the shape it is. If a little corruption is ok, well, I guess alot is tolerable.
Folks this is about having ethical leadership at all levels. We need to stop focusing on a "Party" or supporting a "Person" and start backing "Ideas" and "Ethical Standards" from our leadership. I got news for everyone on this post. Regardless of who you vote for or who ultimately wins, it will change nothing. The course of this nation is set, altered and sustained only by the people and their will. To bad WE have been the absentee landlord for to long. The average american has little to no understanding of what is going on in this country. Very sad.
stoptheinsanity-Unfortunately I can't give you any hard evidence of voter fraud within ACORN. What I can do is tell you that as someone who worked on an ACORN voter registration drive I witnessed multiple acts of voter fraud first hand. I saw it, its there. My word is all I can give you. In addition to working there myself, I met my wife while she was working for ACORN. Also, one of my closest college friends still works for the organization, and called me last night to tell me about the raid. This is not a Rep vs DEM or GW Bush issue. This is an attitude that ACORN has about hiring unqualified individuals to do a job they will not be held accountable for when they abuse it.
http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/09/barack_o...
This could be the worst column I have ever read. Are the liberals ever going to learn? This is like TASS or the Iranian National Newspaper. Flat out dishonesty.
If 15 of your offices are under investigation for voter fraud by the FBI and their respected State governments that is not the Republicans fault.
The fact you are trying to spin this into "the potluck dinner and people that have worked are not going to get paid" angle is disturbing. This organization is sleazy at best.
Again if this was a conservative agency pulling this nonsense she would be writing an article filled with outrage over the attempt at the Republicans to steal another election.
Whatever Daffy.
I certainly think your comment leveled the playing filed very quickly. Two wrongs does not make a right. And that seems to be where I think the Dems are headed.
Since there does not seem to be any reason to try to think here.---- All hail our fearless leader.
We the Sheeple do declare our loyalty and souls to the "messiah" (sic) lower-case. Let him lead us to the promised land. Let him part the waters, push back the floods, and use his mighty hand to smite our ememy those evil mean people who do not believe in the slaughter of the unborn.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!
Freaking hillarious even if it is unbelievably predictable that you would somehow twist this into a "blame the republicans" storyline. It simply shows that you are not intelligent or have the moral compass to admit that a group with ties to both Obama and the Democratic Party was caught doing something fraudelant. Instead of saying "this is bad and should never happen again" you predictably try to spin this as a sinister plot cooked up by the GOP.
People like YOU are the problem with this country.
Acorn – a conglomerate covering a number of industries and subsidiaries. One of their major operations is a national housing developer with operations scattered all over the country, and in bed with a number of national banks, brokerage companies, insurance companies. The housing developments are for public housing, or housing built after a crisis (such as hurricane). It has been protected by various Congressional leaders, and while its size and diversity makes it a very murky picture. There is information coming out that within this murky mess of Acorn there is ‘voter fraud’ and a history of it over 10 years.
IN 2008 ACORN CORP. WAS PAID $800,000 BY OBAMA TO ‘GET OUT THE VOTE’ – AND DURING THEIR EFFORTS IN 5 SWING STATES (Nev., NM, CO, MI, OH) ACORN IS CHARGED WITH VOTER FRAUD – IN 2008 !! Each state has evidence of 1) a person being registered 35 times; 2) more voters registered in a county than there are voting age people; 3) dead people being registered – and the list goes on and on.
1) Acorn was paid $800,000 by Obama, to handle voter registration in certain states.
2) There are currently investigations in FIVE “swing” states where significant evidence of voter fraud exists – conducted by Acorn – Such states include CO, NM, MI, NV and OH (problems such as people being registered 30 and more times; dead people being registered; or more people registered in a county than there are people of voting age – just the sort of thing LBJ did back in the good old days!)
3) Other states are already involved in lawsuits over such matters, some Acorn people already in prison, and more states involved in investigations.
4) And also learned, Obama has taught training classes for Acorn, has headed a voter registration campaign for them, worked for Acorn as an attorney defending them in an Illinois suit, and has received enormous contributions from the Acorn PAC.
The problem of course is that many of the readers take what you and most media say as gospel – surely someone in a position such as a journalist (once a highly regarded career, now akin to used car salesmen, lawyers, carney folks) would not mislead!
Your column on Acorn is unadulterated crap, not only misleading but FALSE. In other words Ms. Deviator, you LIED.
Why didn’t you mention some of the following FACTS about Acorn? HMMMMM? Probably because it reflects so badly on Obama, and because you don’t have the balls to tell the truth.
1) In 2008 Acorn was paid $800,000 by Obama, to handle voter registration in certain states.
5) Acorn has a 10-year record of fraud, illegal activities, and lawsuits from MANY states. It is also under investigation for fraud and corruption within its government contracts.
6) Acorn has been protected by Senators Dodd, Biden and Obama; and Rep. Franks. All of these men among several others, receive large amounts of largess and contributions from Acorn.
IF you had any integrity and honor, if you were an ethical reporter, you’d want truth to prevail, irrespective of your party/candidate affiliation. You do a huge disservice to your readers and to the readers of this publication. You contribute to the low regard for media, and to the spread of lies in favor of Obama and against McCain.
Baloney. NONE of Ksweet's list of complaints against ACORN sounds anything familiar about the 2000 election (which wasnt a theft).
"I remember hearing about counties, townships, small cities, etc. having so many more votes than residents,"
You remember no such thing, liar.
"but the votes were for Bush, not Kerry!"
Prove it. Source? Which counties, townships, small cities had more votes than residents, with the voters going for bush, not Kerry? What were the numbers?
Typo: Which counties, townships, small cities had more votes than residents, with the VOTES going for bush, not Kerry? What were the numbers?
ACORN office employees do conduct fraud checks, but it is usually one or two people looking through 20 kids voter cards a day. There's no way they can get through all of them. ACORN won't hire enough upper level people to check them. Most of the office directors are recent college graduates (like I was) who work there because they want to get into a non-profit/political career and see ACORN as an easy way to get your foot in the door. No one lasts too long there, and usually find another job after getting a little experience. The bottom line is that fraud is rampant throughout the organization but is usually only committed by the entry level employees, but the higher ups are still responsible for letting it happen.
Likewise how could there be any evidence if you don't go to the polls until Nov 4th? Kinda strange that many "Dallas Cowboys" players now live in Nevada but still play for Dallas? Hmmmm! I 'd like the name of the Acorn-Nut job that knocked on that door and got those autographs. I wish I could be so lucky. So your statement is outright stupid!!! "And there’s no evidence, and likewise no charges, that anyone is showing up at the polls and impersonating the nonexistent voters that have been signed up."
Acorn is part of the left wing "rock the vote" BS! They don't go knocking on $300k+ houses for Registrations. They solict in poor inner city areas. Let's call a spade a spade here!
If ACORN was a organization that worked with in the law it would be a fantastic thing.
Everyone should have the opportunity to vote and have the right to do so but That is not the case with ACORN. This time and in the past they decide to created voters only for the reason to support the candidate of their choice this time being Obama. And you people are ok with this ? If it they were supporting John McCain the Democrats would be rioting in the streets.
This is no different than whats going on in Ohio. Its a attempt by the Liberals to secure the election for Obama who by the looks of things really dose not need the help . And i am sure Obama and his terrorist buddy who by the way has had a relationship with Michell Obama for several years are involved in this up to their necks.
Of course they will. The reality is that most level headed Conservatives would not blame the mass of Liberals if there was some sort of shame over this. The reality is that there is no shame with liberals. They lie to cover up there own misdeeds.
Here is the truth.
This organization got caught doing something illegal, unethical and slimy.
They had had two roads to follow.
The high road and the gutter. Liberals are FAR more comftorable in the gutter apparently as proven by most of these posts on this MB.
Blaming republicans for everything...EVEN THERE OWN TRANSGRESSIONS is there favorite pastimes.
This is one reason I, as much as I do not care for McCain I have no other choice than to vote for him. Until a Democrat with class comes on the scene and decides to run a CLEAN campaign I have no other choice. The sad thing is that most conservatives and swing voters feel the same way.
IF the media had any integrity and this story ever got legs it could be devastating for the Dems. Good for them the media is controlled by the left.
Stand by on election night when Barrack Obama has up to 8 point leads in California, Nevada, New Mexico and Florida and then John McCain wins those STATES.
I got my Senate voting data at http://www.SenateReports.com you can too!
The fact is the whole political scene has you so entrenched in rooting for "Your guy" that you all have sold your souls to win. I didn't hear the right stand up next to those on the left after the diebold incident to say, "You know what, if he won this way it's wrong." Conversly here we are with the left justifying it as, "Well, you did it to us, so it is fair game."
You sound like a bunch of children. Until you understand you have been conditioned into this "Root only for my team at any cost." while turning a blind eye or not standing up for right and wrong, regardless if it supports your side or not, this country is lost. There is no gray area here. You will either stand together for what is right for this country or we will fall due to our inability to move past these polarizing parties and seek the best for our country. You start today. Ask yourself before you inject yourself in these crazy, debilitating arguments - What is right and what is wrong here. Make a choice, and I hope for you, for me and for our children you chose wisely.
"If you can't answer a man's arguments, all is not lost; you can still call him vile names."
- Elbert Hubbard
So, a small about of voter fraud is ok?
I don't care if the numbers are "tiny in comparison"....THEY SHOULD BE NON-EXISTENT!!!!! GET IT?
The RNC used Diebold's allegiance to their cause to commit extensive voting machine fraud in 2000 and in 2004. Here is video of a Republican discussing the issue:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsgY4_BB2lo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9Kq4dxPwY8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jy1sz-xBxf8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Vvq_YseZVc
There is absolutely no reason to think they won't do it again.
These stories about ACORN are primarily a pre-emptive coverup for the cheating via voting machines that is to come, as well as being additional smear tactics against Obama.
These ACORN stories, while disturbing, are allegations of voter *registration* fraud. People would still have to actually manage to vote under these names somehow. Diebold and the RNC are persuasively alleged to have committed actual voting fraud, en masse.
